Dining
- Casa Ciriaco
- The city's most traditional restaurant, serving typical Madrid cuisine the way grandma would do it. Very much a local place but also a favourite with many of Spain's intellectuals, royalty, painters and bullfighters. They really make you feel at home.
- Saint James
- A modern restaurant with beautiful light and different shades of blue on the walls and carpeting that conveys a seaside atmosphere. Their specialties are rice - in all forms is something you should not miss.
- Corral de la Morería
- This is considered to have the best Flamenco of any Madrid restaurant. The cuisine is as good as the show. If you make reservations at least a week in advance, you'll get a table next to the stage.
- La Favorita
- Located in an old palace, this restaurant features dishes from Navarra and waiters and waitresses who sing opera as they serve. The building also houses the Opera Foundation of Navarra and the Opera Society of Madrid Everything served in this restaurant

overall magnificent service and hotel. beds are unbeatable as well as the location, you can walk anywhere or take a quick ride on taxi, metro or bus. if you are there for business, is a fully busniess equipped hotel, for pleasure is wonderfully well equipped and service is unbeatable. if you can make sure you get a club room, you get access to the executive level and get a lot of freebies. rooms are sometimes a bit small but so is everywhere else in europe.

Standard nice Hotel; pricey food
Nice hotel; great concierge; Location is OK, but not great. If I return to Madrid, I would prefer to stay closer to Plaza Mayor. Another problem with location is that on weekends the breakfast places open too late for anyone trying to get an early start. Food is way too expensive.

besides the fact that the hotel does not have a spa in house, which is typically a necessity for frequent travelers, you cant beat the hotel. unbelievable service, rooms and location. it feels "new" unlike the larger more conservative places like the palace or the ritz. it is definetly business oriented.

not what it seems
hotel is far less than what you'd expect from an intercontinental property. Location is near metro and buses, but not perfect for someone visiting madrid for a few days. It is in an area that seemed better suited for a business traveller. The hotel isn't a nightmare, but again, a far cry from what I have come to expect from the five star rating the sight gives it. Next time I will stay closer to sol, or plaza mayor. Also, don't expect much from the concierge.

Fantastic!!
This is a classic hotel with all the amenities and level of service one would expect. The rooms were grand. The service was absolutely impeccable. Though the location is not close to the downtown area (Plaza del Sol, etc.) you are just few blocks away from the "Rodeo" Drive of Madrid. Absolutely love it!

If you looking for your new Loewe, Prada, C. Herera, Hermes, etc. - literally cross the street, walk two blocks - and there you are. Check out an amazing vine tasting bar next door to Hermes store....Enjoy! In case you are not an adventurous type - just ask the concierge for direction.

Average.
the room was too small. we could not open the drapes due to all the across windowes are looking into our room. I do like a bright room with no drapes. I asked to change our room. the answer was no.
