wonderful

The location was great- Gran Via metro station was right around the corner which was awesome. Everything is fairly easy to get to if you use the metro, and taxis at night are reasonably priced. The front desk staff were wonderful, very helpful with any questions we had, and spoke English well, which was helpful considering my high school level of Spanish.

Nice Hotel

Not a 4 star hotel, but very comfortable. Staff was helpful, even in english (my spanish is terrible). Very close to GranVia, close to historical Madrid, and a Metro stop is at the end of the street. Great location...

The good, the bad and the really ugly

Location is great to everything, night life, attractions, transportation, shopping, etc., but the hotel experience was not very good. the staff was not very friendly, the beds unconfortable, not as clean as I would expected. I though we were staying at at 4 stars hotel and in my opinion is not even a 2 stars.

Hotel's location is great, however, there's a lot of night life around and very noisy at night.

Excellent place and CENTRAL to Madrid!

Everything went perfectly and we slept like logs. We didn´t eat their breakfast offering though ... far more pricey than our budget would allow. Used the shops on the street for much better deal on food. We flew around town on the excellent Metro underground system and there is an access terminal ONE BLOCK from the hotel! Can´t beat that either! Bob T. in Denver

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Use the metro to get to the Sophia Regina art museum, then walk UP to the Prado and the Thyssen across the street. You can walk back to the hotel in about 20 minutes.

not a four star

we went there for a three day trip. The hotel is located in downtown madrid, very convenient to everything. but the rooms are really small and there is no way that this could count as a four star hotel. Also, this hotel is in the red district of the city.

Good location for exploring Madrid

Good location for exploring Madrid and street is fine despite some reports otherwise (red light district etc). Nice quiet room just slightly dated and bed not that comfortable (a bit soft for me). Could use a refurb but otherwise fine - I'd say 3.5* rather than 4*.
