The hotel is Close to the Royal Palace, Royal Opera, Theater, Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, "El Rastro" (flea market) and the best area to try Spain's and Madrid's most typical fine cuisine. Hotel Puerta de Toledo has 152 en suite rooms (single rooms with shower and WC) equipped with air conditioning, direct dial phone, personal safety deposit box, satellite television and pay per view video. The hotel is independent, soundproofed halls with capacities from 20 to 350 people, climate control, and everything required for the meeting. Work groups. Conferences, conventions. Courses, training sessions, seminars. Other meetings. Product presentations. Broadband Internet access, "PLC" technology. Free service, courtesy of the hotel. Madrid Summer 2012

The beds were very hard and flat, which is better that sleeping in a bed that is sagged out, but it was like sleeping on a board. Front desk staff was helpful. The garage is underground and difficult to park in. Easy walk to Plaza Mayor.
