The hotel is Close to the Royal Palace, Royal Opera, Theater, Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, "El Rastro" (flea market) and the best area to try Spain's and Madrid's most typical fine cuisine. Hotel Puerta de Toledo has 152 en suite rooms (single rooms with shower and WC) equipped with air conditioning, direct dial phone, personal safety deposit box, satellite television and pay per view video. The hotel is independent, soundproofed halls with capacities from 20 to 350 people, climate control, and everything required for the meeting. Work groups. Conferences, conventions. Courses, training sessions, seminars. Other meetings. Product presentations. Broadband Internet access, "PLC" technology. Free service, courtesy of the hotel. The hotel offers bar, business centre, concierge, conference facilities, disabled facilities, doctor on call, dry cleaning, Internet access- high speed, Internet access- wireless, laundry service, lift/elevator, lobby, non-smoking rooms, parking facilities-at cost, reception and safe deposits box. Location, Locaton, Location!

I had a great experience at this hotel. It was just a few minutes walk from everything. Nice, clean room, housekeeping was always available and very nice as well. Overall, good room for the price.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Just a short walk away from this hotel are many many plazas, places to shop and things to see. No taxi necessary, just bring a good pair of walking shoes.

Good location for exploring the

Good location for exploring the centre of Madrid. Very helpful and friendly staff. Taxi rank right outside which makes for ease of transfer to the airport.

good location

The Puerta de Toledo was in a good location. The room was very basic, however,clean. The breakfast was mediocre with little variety. The staff was accomodating,however, very, very limited in English. Many tapas bars in the area but not many restaurants. Hotel restaurant next door was fairly good and one of the very few with English subtitles. There is a 20% discount at the restaurant if you are staying at the hotel.

La localización es perfecta, sobre

La localización es perfecta, sobre todo para visitas turísticas, ya que está en pleno barrio histórico, junto al rastro y con muy buenas comunicaciones. Las instalaciones, como suele ocurrir en hoteles tan céntricos, son pequeñas, pero correctas y limpias. El personal también muy atento. La relación calidad-precio excelente, al menos en habitaciones individuales. Las dobles quizá son un poco caras.

Buona posizione, vicino a Palacio

Buona posizione, vicino a Palacio Real (10min a piedi) ed alla fermata di metro' (con la quale potete raggiungere qualsiasi luogo di interesse). Colazione abbondante ma il caffe' non lo fanno (e' quello americano per interderci...). Camere non molto insonorizzate ma pulite. Annesso a ristorante con convenzione (sconto del 20%). Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Concludendo, lo consiglierei senz'altro.

Notas negativas: a inexistência

Notas negativas: a inexistência de mini-bar no quarto; o pequeno-almoço básico; os corredores com má distribuição de luz e com efeito aquecedor do ambiente numa cidade já por si quente; internet muito cara (3 euros / 15 minutos). Notas positivas: conforto e localização. Apesar dos aspectos negativos, voltaria a este hotel.
