go to el rastro flea market on sundays 9-3 just follow calle toledo from plaza de sol!! GREAT deals and tons of fun.

What a dive this place is. I
What a dive this place is. I knew it would be as it's so cheap. My room was hideous, bed terrible, didn't sleep a wink as the bed was so uncomfortable and the lift was clunking all night outside my window. No AC, just a fan on the ceiling (really noisy). Only stayed here as so central and cheap. Never again yuck!

The room was small and not clean. The door to the room had a 1/2 gap at the top. The TV didn't work. The shower was too small. The bed was hard as a rock. It was on a main street, but it was where everyone partied so forget about sleep. I would not stay there again.

Hotel befand sich im umbau. Dues war keine beeinträchtigung. Angenehmes feeling und super lage. Würde ich wieder buchen.

Agréablement Surpris
Après un super accueil nous avons découvert la chambre. Elle donnait sur la rue bruyante et très fréquentée. Une fois les vitres fermées et la clim en marche nous étions bien au frais. Le mini-bar était superbement remplis de boissons pour tous les gouts. Une partie de l’hôtel étant en travaux de rénovation mais à aucun moment nous n'avons eu de gêne. Le petit déjeuné gargantuesque se prend le niveau 5 auquel on accède grâce aux ascenseurs neuf resplendissants et entièrement vitrés (sauf le sol!). Bien que nos ballades et visites nous ont amené à entrer et sortir à n'importe quelle heure le personnel a toujours été présent et très aimable et serviable. Une fontaine d'eau glacée citronnée ou orangée était en permanence dans le hall d’entrée avec des verres afin que nous nous désaltérions sans restrictions. Notre séjour fut simplement parfait pour nous. Des chauffeurs de taxis travaillent avec cet hôtel c'est bien utile pour avoir un taxis qui nous ramène à l’aéroport quand nous le désirons pour un prix correct.

Agréablement Surpris
A notre arrivé nous avons été agréablement surpris de l'accueil qui fut excellent. Le personnel très aimable et attentif à nos désirs. L’hôtel était en rénovation mais nous n'avons rien vu. Un tout nouveau en vitres transparentes. Les chambres sont très propres, climatisées (heureusement il faisait 38° dehors) et insonorisées. Idéalement situé en pleine rue piétonne à deux pas de "La Puerta Del Sol" qui est le centre de Madrid. Ce fut parfait pour nous qui sommes venus en avion et Taxis. Un service de taxis travaille avec l’hôtel; C'est très confortable bien que plus cher qu'un taxis normal.

Ne venez pas avec votre véhicule prenez l'avion et utilisez les transports (taxis ou bus). Que ce soit Resto, shopping, soirées et même petit budgets tout est aux alentours.

El Hotel Francisco I, a medio camino entre la Puerta del Sol y la Plaza de öpera, está acabando de remodelar sus instalaciones. El confort de sus habitaciones es ahora espléndido y sólo falta que terminen de solucionar el acceso desde recepción a las habitaciones. El personal, como siempre, es sabio, correcto sin ser distante, y siempre dispuesto a ayudar a que el visitante se lleve un buen recuerdo de Madrid. En muy pocos meses, se va a convertir en una estupenda opción para quienes gusten de los hoteles convencionales y del confort actual.
