Beautiful hotel offering a combination of peace and urban life
The Hospes Madrid was built in 1883, and retains its sense of history despite beautiful refurbishment to offer its guests a luxurious stay in the heart of Madrid. The Hospes Madrid is next to the main green space in Madrid, the Parque del Retiro, and offers a perfect combination of peace and urban life. Dine in the Senzone Restaurant Puerta de Alcala for the opportunity to enjoy the best that the local cuisine has to offer. After a day of sightseeing, relax with a massage or spa treatment in the on-site Bodyna Spa.
3 Reasons To Stay:

Exceptional design, average service

Hotel design and amenities are great including a spa, bicycles you can borrow, delicious breakfast, splendid rooms with wooden floor and a large bathroom, exposed beams in top-floor rooms, etc. Location is also perfect with many landmarks, restaurants and metro stations at walking distance. However, there is room for improvement on service quality. We had to carry our suitcase to our room, request different passwords every 24 hours for Internet access for each device, deal with receptionists who were very polite and helpful but not really friendly, wait 15 minutes to get our luggage from the porter, etc. All in all, a very good experience that could have been exceptional with that little extra something that only people can bring...

Food at Chinese restaurant Le Mandarin is delicious and one of few places where you can walk in without a reservation.
