Stepped out of the Cercanius Piramides exit and right into the hotel lobby. Direct access by train to Atocha and the Aeroporta T-4. Staff spoke fairly good English and were very helpful. Piramides seemed like a upscale residential area and we felt
comfortable walking around. The hotel restaurant did not impress but there are plenty of places to eat in Madrid. We had a nice leasurely 4k walk to El Prado Museo down some wide shady avenues. Madrid hotel prices seemed amazingly low yet we still saved about 50-60 USD by staying in Piran\mides and I doubt we sacraficed a thing. Would gladly stay here again.
This Holiday Inn is pretty average, but is definitely clean and comfortable. You can't beat the access to the Metro, which is why we chose this hotel. Nice city view from our window, and there is an inexpensive supermarket down the street where we
picked up some snacks & wine. Very nice staff.
