Amazing Trip!
Hotel el Coloso is an amazingly good deal. Great hotel, with superior employees (they call each other colleagues). [...] is our favorite at the hotel, although all of the staff is amazing - he will definitely keep you entertained and see that you know all of the best places in the city to go. Didn´t go to the hotel´s restaurant because on a tight budget but looked amazing. On a tiny street next to the police station, but surprisingly very few sirens. Air conditioning keeps the rooms cool. Definitely coming back our next trip to Madrid!!

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
At night, walk to Plaza Espana and get an ice cream or a soda. Locals and tourists enjoy the evening together, with the fountain noise in the background. Additionally, the largest park in the city - I forget what it´s called - is a lovely stroll (but about 2+ miles to get there). Enjoy!

- Lage: sehr bequem, in der Nähe U-Bahn + Gran via - Frühstuck: gut - Zimmer: sehr sauber aber: Es hat für die ganze Zeit gestunken, es war wirklich unerträglich (Kanalisation & Co.) + Geräusche aus Flügelräde oder so etwas - während der ganzen Nacht - Personal am Reception: UNGLAUBLICH; wir waren komplett ignoriert, konnten das Problem sogar nicht mitteilen. Wir warteten am Reception wie wenn durchsichtig waren! - Am 13.10. Abend waren die Feuerwehr vor dem Hotel; noch heute weiss ich nicht was passierte. Wir haben mehr als eine Stunde vor dem Hotel gewartet, danach wollten wir über das Geschehen informiert sein. Keine Chanche, Personal am Abend hat uns total ignoriert und auch nicht begrüsst. Keine Entschuldigung für das Geschehen und keine Infos. Das finde ich einfach inakzeptabel.

Hôtel trés correct
Hotel idéalement situé,proche du métro et du centre ville ,décoration un peu vieillotte ,mais hôtel propre,notre chambre donnant sur la cour intérieure était trés silencieuse.Petit déjeuné correct et sans surprise. Personnel serviable. Hôtel recommandable ,sans grande prétention .
