A stay in the Hotel Asturias is truly a pleasure, not only owing to its superb location in the heart of Madrid only 200 meters from the Puerta del Sol but also because the most commercial and cultural area of the city is just a pleasant stroll away. Asturias Hotel is conceived as the perfect place for young tourists to stay and enjoy all the entertainment afforded by the old quarter of the city. This hotel has 175 rooms with private bathroom, telephone, satellite TV, safety box and heating. Other services guests can use are the conditioned lounge at the lobby and public parking for 500 cars located opposite the hotel. On its restaurant "Principado", you'll enjoy the traditional Spanish cuisine. NOTE: Lunch/ Dinner supplement per pax 14.

The location of this hotel is

The location of this hotel is really excellent – within walking distance of a lot of Madrid’s attractions. It is a fine two star hotel offering good value for money with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms do not have air conditioning and our visit coincided with a heat wave but a fan kept the room comfortable. All in all an enjoyable stay.

this hotel is located in the heart

this hotel is located in the heart of the city and everything is fine there.óutlook as well insíde the hotel is really nice.costumer service is also fine.i would like to recommend this hotel for everyone.i enjoyed there although i stayed there for one night......thanks

The hotel is in an ideal situation

The hotel is in an ideal situation for being able to walk everywhere; it's also close to 2 theatres. It's in need of an update but maybe that's planned for the future. An older builing has a certain appeal... the staff are friendly and efficient.

This is on a very noisy plaza,

This is on a very noisy plaza, so bring your ear plugs. However, it was perfectly located, close to everything. A good value, basic accommodation for Madrid.

Interior seems quite used but

Interior seems quite used but the room size and especially the location makes up for that. Sound proof is very good. Extra elevator was available when the main one broke down. Room and bathroom can be used by a wheelchair user if accompanied by an able-bodied person. Generally - very happy with the hotel.

The room I was in had definitely

The room I was in had definitely seen better days, and was rather poorly furnished. There's only one tiny lift for a lot of rooms. However reasonably priced, easy to find and 10 minutes walk from the Prado.

One elevator is not enough for

One elevator is not enough for that hotel. At least there should always be preference for customers with the luggage. We missed our train waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting.... the elevator.

We did no research and the location

We did no research and the location was right above some crazy party places where they kept going long into the morning, in fact when we left to go to the airport at 6.35am, they were still at it down in the street under our room. Great spot through in relation to seeing Madrid. No Air Conditioning.
