Unfortunately, we started off on the wrong foot with staff. We had a problem with our passports and the front office staff would not let us use the telephone to make a few calls. They referred us to the public phone but even that one did not
Despite the hotel being in a very good location and awesome rooms, the first experience and thereafter just left us with a poor feeling throughout our stay.
I can only rate it 3 stars due to horrible, poor customer service.
Nice hotel in the Atocha area of Madrid. Room are well furbished and maintained. Closed to Atocha station, the hotel is a little far from main commercial area (Puerta del Sol / Salamanca area) but it is closed to main museums (Prado, Reina Sofia &
Tyssen). Reception is fast but not very welcoming... Ask for high floor room to prevent street noises as the hotel is positioned on a high traffic street. I would reccomend it to everyone looking for a reasonably priced accomodation in a semi central area of Madrid (if you don't like to walk... look for something else).
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
EMT Bus connect the airport to Atocha station and then it is a short walk to the hotel. This is the cheapest / easy way to reach the city center.
