Clandestino Surf Adventure

When I booked I was told that my accommodation would be a bedroom apartment/studio. However, when I arrived I was brought instead to a 5 bedroom villa called Velero that I had to share with others. I am an independent traveller that likes to stay alone and I was not happy with being asked to share with others. A day or two later I asked to change and was told it was not possible. I was not pleased about this.. There seemed to be a lack of clear communication between e-bookers and their suppliers: Clandestino asked twice that I pay for my stay. I emailed e-bookers and asked them to confirm that I had already paid when I made my booking. I was asked for €1 to print out my boarding pass - the previous day they did not charge a German couple for the same.. So, for the sake of making a quick €1 I will not be returning to stay with Clandestino. Famara itself is a laid back part of Lanzarote and surf was good. There are many schools in offering surf instruction. I took one lesson with Clandestino and I can verify they offer good surf instruction. Most days I rented a surfboard and wetsuit from one of the many such places on the main street and practiced surfing on Famara beach. Further along the coast is La Santa which is better for experienced surfers (not me.. ). I recommend renting a bike on the days when it is windy and the waves are not good. Clandestino caters very well to a mainly German clientele of groups, families and couples. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. but if you are a solo traveller I suggest you try elsewhere.
