Completely renovated in 2008, the BlueBay Lanzarote hotel offers 200 apartments of 1 and 2 bedrooms, with modern furnishings and a minimalist style decoration, with balcony or terrace and some with sea views. This completely refurbished resort offers new spacious apartments located in low white buildings, which are typical on the island of Lanzarote. This island is known for its concern to conserve its natural resources especially its volcanic origins. The BlueBay Lanzarote is only 5 minutes from the beach and offers a variety of sports facilities including tennis and paddle courts. The all-inclusive plan offered provides excellent service and quality. The BlueBay Lanzarote has a large pool with a separate area for children and a completely new spa offering Jacuzzi, sauna, massage and more. The low buildings offer a sensation of space and well being with a large area for sun beds and ample scope for relaxation. If one wants a bit more action then the hotel offers facilities for football, basketball, tennis and squash. The local area of Costa Teguise also provides many opportunities for water sports especially windsurfing, kite surfing, and sailing, cycling and diving. The apartments are also situated close to the only golf course found on the island. An excursion to the national park of Timanfaya, with its volcanic lunar landscape, shows why this island is so special. As well as being ideal for couples and families, the apartments are also becoming popular with sports clubs due to the excellent facilities found on-site. The hotel also offer Bar, Billiards, Doctor on call, Gym / Fitness facilities, Reception, Restaurant, Spa Services (Massage, Facial, Steam Room, etc.), Solarium, Swimming pool-outdoor and Tennis court. Not bad, not great.

Would not recommend Thu, Jan 28, 2016
The staff are very good: friendly and hard working. They will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable and always with a smile. We stayed in January 2016 and the hotel was not full so plenty of chairs, loungers and seats in the restaurant and bar. However at the height of the season I can imagine it would be crowded. The room has a safe which was charged at over €5 per day and WiFi was also an extra charge. The sofa bed in the living room was really uncomfortable (we never used it as a bed) the TV only had one English language channel. There were no drawers in the bedroom, just shelving. The beds, two singles, were uncomfortable and would move on the tiled floor if you moved in the night, making a scraping noise. Other guest would wake us as their beds moved. The walls were thin and you could hear people in other rooms as if they were actually in your living room during the night. The food was OK, but it was repetitive and we ate out about 50 of the time. This was our first and last experience of all inclusive, we tried it, it was OK , but not for us. For the price we paid, it was just about value for money, but we didn't really pay that much.

Just ok

Would not recommend Sat, Jan 23, 2016
The hotel is not bad but I do not complain just because I got a very good offer. The room was poorly cleaned. The bed extremely uncomfortable. But the worst thing was the food. Poor offer and the lowest quality. Basically freez fried food. One of the worst I have ever tried. If you get a discounted price you can consider this Hotel otherwise go somewhere else.

Would recommend Tue, Dec 29, 2015
I would highly recommend the blue bay hotel. Went all inclusive over Christmas & couldn't have asked for more. Great accommodation, very friendly polite staff, great choice of food & pool & gardens are fab. 5 min taxi drove to the town square but can be walked within 20 mins. Would go again & again. Excellent.

Would recommend Mon, Dec 14, 2015
we stayed a week and found no issues with the apartments, the food was good, like most all inclusive placed the food did get a bit repetitive but you always found something to eat, the rooms were of a good size and had a kitchen if you needed it. the staff were all friendly and attentive, a few restaurants and bars within walking distance, the town is about a 15 minute walk away

Great relaxing break

Would recommend Wed, Jan 14, 2015
Loved the hotel, all the staff was friendly and nothing was to much to ask, The food was good, plenty of choice and variety. We will be returning in October for a longer break, and would recommend no problems, Only down side was charge for safe at €3.30 a day and charges for Wifi and TV, Basic channels was available but only english channel was bbc world news, Plenty of English bars, Monica's around 200 yards from the main entrance, if you fancy a change, and a great sports bars for all the matches.

More like a creche!

Would recommend Sun, Oct 24, 2010
Described as a family hotel but more like a very kid-friendly hotel, especially below school-age kids. We went outside of main half-term but still suffered screaming kids around and in the pools, running around the echo-chamber reception area, and generally kicking off in the dining room - parents didn't seem to care (bless 'em!). Perhaps I'm too old in the tooth, but I still believe that 'children should be seen and not heard!' Also, pigeons were constantly picking from food covered serving spoons at the outside 'bland' buffet, despite everything being cold and soggy.Either shoot the birds or install chain/net screens around the food area.

Attractions

For a haven of tranquility, try sitting outside or on the upstairs veranda of the Orient Express snack bar/restaurant in the old original Costa Teguise market place(Plaza Del Pueblo Marinero)in the afternoon between midday and 7 pm.. The drinks are really cheap and it even has free wifi!
