2-3 Star Hotel- Bad Customer Service
I was extremely displeased with the front desk service and people at the hotel overall. It seemed more like a 2-3 star hotel, than a 4 star hotel. Room quality was on par, but customer service skills were horrible. My check in took forever, when I asked questions about the city there was no real help offered (no concierge??), and every time I asked for something it was greeted with poor body language. Finally, don't be deceived from location. It is on outskirts of city, not that close to downtown.....I was deceived here

Long walk from hotel
Downtown is a solid 15 min bus ride or $10 Euro cab fair. Be ware as no real restuarants or shopping are close by. So you might have to go up and back to city 3 times...

Rude staff in the restaurant
The hotel was a solid 3 star, maybe even 4, but the staff in the restaurant were very rude to us at dinner. We skipped breakfast the next morning after observing the same wait staff was on duty again.

Great Access to Alhambra
Driving to the hotel was not too difficult with a good map. However, NEVER try driving off the main roads in Granada. Worst drivers and the scooters are so numerous and close to you that you feel as if you are being attacked by a swarm of bees. Food was fairly expensive. Nice secure parking garage although the ramps were steep and not clutch-friendly. Very professional staff. Clean and fairly large room. Nice pool and sundecks with option for sunbathing in a grassy area.

Short drive from hotel
Just drive up the hill from the hotel for about 3 KM and you are at the upper level parking lots for the Alhambra. Easy! Skip the Arabic baths located in the hotel basement. Expensive for nothing more than an oversized jacuzzi and steam bath.

Macia Real de la Alambra
We had a great time at the hotel. The location was good if you wanted some quiet and away from the city area. A quick and easy bus ride into the city. Our only complaint was that the laundry service was not available. Granted it was January 1st, but a hotel that wants to market itself as first class should have that service available year round. The excuse we were given was that the laundry person was not working that day. Well....hire someone else to cover that day then. Aside from that would definitely recommend and would return to this hotel.

Great location for a visit to Alhambra
Vacation visit with adult sons and their wives. Rooms exceeded our expectations. A wedding celebration was ongoing the weekend while we were there. Service was still very good. Visit to Alhambra can take longer than anticipated.

Take the local bus to visit Alhambra or to the old town part of Granada. Food at the restaurant was very good, morning brunch and evening dinner. [...] had the best deal on line.

Exceptional hotel in interesing location
Key with this wonderful hotel is whether it fits with what you want to accomplish in Granada. Perfect situation if your trip is geared to the Alhambra site. A bit far if you are gearing your trip to the sites/sounds of the city of Granada. Has all the amenities and great front desk staff. Seems geared to business travelers and groups, so as a tourist you benefit. Drawback is the hotel isolates you somewhat to seeing Alhambra versus the sites/sounds of Granada. The bus trip is a bit further to the City than I would have liked from this location, although the bus stops are extremely handy to Alhambra and the City Centre. You do have to wait a bit for buses, or you go with taxis that do add up in cost to go anywhere. Long taxi ride and some decent expense to get to the Granada airport. A city hotel location near Plaze Nueva would provide great access to the airport and shuttles, as well as many regular convenient shuttles to Alhambra from another direction. No knock on this hotel, but would find something in the Plaza Nueva area for the 'full' experience and greater convenience.

Wonderful hotel and great value
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and the internet blazingly fast. Parking was easy in the area and the bus downtown came every 15 minutes. We didn't even bother with a cab. The buffet breakfast was reasonable and if you just want coffee and toast, it was included without charge.
