The Cathedral is one of the most
important examples of Renaissance
architecture in Spain. It stands
out for its grandeur - it has five naves
separated by thick Corinthian pillars
on which which semi-pointed arches
stand out. Its Main Chapel is
magnificent with the sculptures of
its façade and its side chapels.

It was not made clear that we should get the key from the Reina Christina Hotel rather than Catedral Suite. The very helpful local people tried to direct us to the right place to check in and it was only after asking several people that we found
the Reina Christina Hotel which is several blocks away and not exactly nearby. The presence of a kitchenette was described but we were disappointed to find only a microwave and a fridge. There was not even a kettle. Also I had to pay 20 Euro deposit to get the TV remote, which turned out to be useless to me as none of the TV channels were in English. The only good thing was the location which is really convenient. The square could be quite noisy. We can observe from the window how a gipsy woman did her trade of giving out rosemary twigs and demand money from the unsuspected takers.

The 3 day tourist card was extremely good value for money and highly recommended.
