Fastastic setting
This hotel is perched right next to the Alhambra, affording a fantastic view of Granada. In addition it is a great hotel, with a very friendly and helpful staff and having a terrific restaurant. At night the lights of Granada which we could view both from our room and the dining room are exquisite.

Alhambra Palace Hotel
The common areas of the hotel were beautiful. The view from the bar area was breathtaking. The hotel is in an excellent location. The bathroom in my room had a strange odor. I noticed there was some dirt in my bathtub. The last day after I showered, I heard running water. When I went in the bathroom, water was coming out of a vent into my shower from the room upstairs. The occupants above me were taking a shower, and their dirty water, and dirt from the vent were coming into my shower. I notified the front desk, however I don't know if it was rectified since I checked out that day.

This hotel is very close to the Alhambra. It was easy to walk from the hotel to the Alhambra and into the main square in town.

Not worthy the money
The room is clean, the hotel staff is friendly, but the pictures on the internet drive your expectation way ahead, like if you were staying at a palace, but that`s not the truth. It`s an average 4 stars hotel.. It`s a very nice arabic style hotel, anyone can go to the main room to profit from this style and have a wine, beer or tea. Even though it`s a walking distance from downtown, there is a very steep street to reach the hotel, making you dependant on taxis...

Expensive, Close to Alhambra, rooms ok
Just down street from Alhambra. Overlooks city. Great service, Great Breakfast. Rooms have great view, but hotel is pretty old but in good condition. Overall, not inexpensive, two twins are pushed together for a double. Not premium beds. Next time I'd probably take a cab up to the Alhambra and find a first class hotel for less in town.

Parking is restricted at the hotel
Parking is restricted at the hotel and we were told to park at the Alhambra Palace visitors carpark about 500 metres away - a fairly pleasant walk through woods but around 28 euros for 48 hours. A bit annoying if some guests get to park at the hotel for free!

Very nice hotel from inside. Excellent
Very nice hotel from inside. Excellent location of you want to visit alhambra, but too far from the city. Especially because of the location they need to have a pool or some other facility. Booked is after reading marvelous reviews - to be honest the price is still to high for a **** hotel out of the city - my expectations were much larger than we met. The terrace had sush a high walls imitating castle wall that we could not observe the city from the hill - big dissapointment - so nice photos on the site is more to say about photografer experince than about the real picture that you see the service was excellent !

A bit overrated
We had trouble finding the hotel, since there was minimal signage from the Alhambra Palace grounds to direct us to the hotel, and parking was definitely a problem. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, friendly, and spoke English well. Our room on the 4th floor was excellent, with a huge balcony and wonderful views of the city. However, given the marble floors, exquisite woodwork, and the overall elegance of the hotel, we were puzzled why our room had very dated plumbing fixtures and badly-worn carpet, as well as torn carpet on the stairway which were inconstent with the rest of the hotel's quality features. But worst of all, our showers were not pleasant--the water temperature kept alternating between warm, cold, and hot. Given these problems, we thought the hotel was overpriced.

Beautiful hotel, great service
We were in Granada only two days, so it takes awhile to get your bearings on where you are in relation to things to do and see. Located on a relatively steep hillside, the Palace hotel is within easy walking distance of the city center ("i.e. downhill) After a hot, sweaty walk up the hill back to the hotel we discovered the 1.25 Euro bus trip to be well worth the money!. Tha Alhambra itself is a short uphill walk from your hotel and is easily reached in ~10 minutes. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and maintained with gracious service, large rooms, a bathtub and shower. Nice terrace overlooking the city too! All in all a good stay.

Long walk from hotel
Easy to walk down to the city. Need a bus in summer to get back up to the hotel!
