We arrived by train and had been advised it was close to the station. This could have been bad as station areas can sometimes be grotty run down areas but at Gijon this was a very good venue, wide open spaces and near the sea front and beach.
very short walk over to the hotel, super reception area with friendly welcoming staff. Good spacious room, excellent bathroom. Room decor a bit disappointing, very grey and dark outlook if the sun is not shinning, bedside reading lamps not very functional. Staff very helpful with local knowledge on places to go, things to do and tours.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Dining and breakfast area at hotel open and functional, no atmosphere. Excellent restaurants just outside the hotel and in the old town.
