All-inclusive family fun overlooking Jandia Beach
A relatively new hotel, the Barcelo Jandia Mar All Inclusive Resort is a fabulous place for family fun. It has some fantastic nighttime entertainment with the choice of four restaurants, with either traditional Canary Island cuisine or international dishes, and much more. There is also a theater bar, piano bar, disco bar, and a swimming pool bar. The meals are all-inclusive in the room rate and include a buffet style breakfast and light lunch. Also included are a Kid’s club, lounge, and Internet access in public areas (some fees may apply).

There is the choice of a family room, superior room, and superior sea view room at Barcelo Jandia Mar All Inclusive Resort. Included are two spacious rooms and a balcony or terrace with beautiful views of Jandia Beach. There are armchairs to relax in and enjoy some satellite TV, and there are double beds in all rooms. There is a small refrigerator to keep any snacks fresh and all the rooms are fully air-conditioned for guests’ comfort. There is also a ceiling fan for hotter days. There is a telephone as well as a safe for any valuables, the use of which may be subject to a fee. Any guests who may have work to do can do so in the work desk area. Also included in the rooms is a fully-equipped bathroom with shower and hair-dryer at Barcelo Jandia Mar All Inclusive Resort. The hotel is situated up a very steep hill (45 degree possibly) . Apart from its situation - which certainly keeps you fit - the hotel is excellent. The facilities, and room - superior sea view was exactly what we were looking for. cleaned daily and comfortable. Entertainment staff were brilliant -day and night. Our only complaint (minor) was the food. The quantity, quality and variety was excellent - there is no need for anyone to go hungry! Our problem was one of the party does not eat fish, and some evenings the meat supplied was goat, veal or rabbit as I put totally not to "our" taste, but no problems if you like these meats. Other choices were pastas, pizzas and vege options! The buffet did get a bit repetative after 12 days so we did eat out on one occasion. Be prepared though as prices have certainly gone up since our last visit about 4 years ago. (3 courses, with bottle wine and two drinks £75) - it makes all inc very reasonable!!!! We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Good Hotel

The hotel is located about a 5 min walk from a great stretch of beach. My wife and I did not stay around the hotel at all because we were always going to different beaches on the island, but there are several great pools for children to enjoy. The staff was great, the buffet restaurant had lots of tasty choices, and the several bars were convenient. The only petty gripe I had was the hotel could have done a better job picking up litter around the hotel. Maybe somebody walking around and picking up after the wind blows the rubbish up, would have been effective. It did not distract from the overall great experience though. This place is worth your money if you plan on staying around the hotel and its immediate area, but if you want to travel around the island and spend time away from the hotel like my wife and I did, you should look into an non-inclusive hotel. Get out and enjoy all the wonderful beaches!!!

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

There is a restaurant right on the beach on Playa de Butihondo that served a wonderful seafood and rice dish. It was excellent. Everybody eats the same thing because that is the only main dish they have, they have some sides but the main dish was really good. Plus it right on the beach, right next to some restrooms, shower, and changing rooms. Great spot, great beach for couples and family alike.

l'hôtel est très bien tenue aussi bien que l'intérieur ou extérieur .juste un petit inconvenient il est dommage que le personnel ne parle pas le français .pour la plage dommage qu'il y est la cote a monter au retour mais bon ce n'est pas une catastrophe
