Structurally good hotel; service needs improvement
This is a surprisingly attractive hotel let down by Staff who run their routines for themselves not their customers. On arrival from the Algarves we were told that there was no parking. We had chosen the hotel for the in town parking. In fact there is public parking 100 metres down the road which is good but the hotel did not help. A celebratory party had taken a room downstairs and blocked the doorway whilst I struggled to unload the car. The Receptionist did not offer help to ease my passage. Lunch was available apparently but there were no staff to take an order. Dinner was brilliant but again was served on the Terrace on the roof (beautiful) and no in the Restaurant. There was no information to tell us this. So Caceres is a gem, well worth the visit; the hotel physical structure is excellent; food is wonderful; but the staff do not work to help you. You have to find your own way. It could be great but is let down by the people who were on duty.
