Relax in sleek rooms and lounge by the rooftop pool in Diagonal Mar
Housed in a remarkable vertical structure with an oval shape, Tryp Condal Mar offers nine floors of rooms and facilities with stunning views over Barcelona. Located in the Diagonal Mar neighborhood, also known as Forum, it's a quick walk from the Mar Bella beach and a short hop on the metro to the Gothic Quarter. The outdoor swimming pool and bar on the rooftop (open seasonally) afford 360-degree vistas. On the premises is a well-equipped fitness center. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and the lounge bar in the lobby dishes out snacks.

My review of Vincci Condal Mar

The room was very tiny especially for two people however the bathroom was quite nice and spacious. The staff was great providing us with a map and information on how to get to where we wanted to go. Unfortunately I did not think that the room was as clean as it should be. The bathtub had a couple of hairs in it as well as the pillow of my bed - gross! Although the layout of the hotel was quite nice the neighbourhood surroundering it was a little considering and based on this alone I would not stay there again.

Ruhig gelegen, nahe CICB

Ich wählte dieses Hotel als Unterkunft während eines Kongresses im CICB, welches zu Fuss in 10 Minuten erreichbar ist. Es liegt in einem ruhigen, sauberen und sicherem Wohnquartier. Ich hatte als Frau kein Problem, um Mitternacht alleine zu Fuss vom CICB zum Hotel zurückzukehren. Die ovale Form des Gebäudes und der daraus resultierende Grundriss der Zimmer sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Die Andersartigkeit ist aber durchaus ein positiver Punkt. Mein dreiteiliges Hotelzimmer(grosszügiges Entrée mit Schrank, Seigentliches Schlafzimmer mit TV, WIFI und Basezimmer, hinter dem Schlafzimmer gelegen) war zweckmässig eingerichtet. Das Personal war hilfreich und freundlich. Das Zentrum erreicht man mit der Metro oder dem Fahrrad in einer knappen halben Stunde. Empfehlenswertes Hotel, wenn man nicht im Rummel des Zentrums wohnen will.

Eine angenehme, effiziente Art, Barcelona zu erkunden, ist mit dem Fahrrad. Für 10 Euros pro 24 Stunden haben wir bequeme, grüne Fahrräder gemietet und so in kurzer Zeit eine Menge gesehen. Empfehlenswert ist, eine Tour der Küste entlang. Um lange Schlangen beim Besuch der Sagrade Familia zu umgehen, empfiehlt es sich am Morgen 15 - 20 Minuten vor Kassenöffnun dort zu sein.
