Perfect Beginning
Loved this hotel, just off Las Ramblas. Lovely, neat, great service. Easy to get to from the airport, and then on to the cruise pier. Good location to do some sightseeing in a short amount of time.

Silken Ramblas was great
The location of this hotel is perfect--just a few steps away from the Ramblas, and a short block to the main square with Tourist Bus, metro, etc. Our room was very stylish and comfortable--even had a Barcelona chair. Best of all was the helpful staff. When we had a problem with on-line tickets for a site, they called for us and worked everything out. They get a big thumbs up!

Ideal Location
Staff were very helpful.Very nosy on the weekend outside.No coffee pot.WE were upgraded and room 505 was wonderful-would suggest a balcony room.Pool area was deserted at night and a wonderful retreat! Close to grocery store,market,aerobus.Good location. Short bue ride[no.59] to the beach.

Perfect location
Fantastic location just off of La Ramblas. My girlfriend especially liked the pitch black room (once the curtains were closed), great for that little 'Siesta'. We didn't use the hotel facilities so can't comment. Only negative thing would be the cable ties holding the shower head together :-( Great value though.

Must go to Ciutat Comtal and sit at the bar. Tapas prepared fresh in front of you. Great atmosphere and cheap price.

Great Location
The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and enjoyable. It is located in the perfect spot. It was an easy walk to dining, shopping and to the port (waterfront). La Boqueria is right down the street as well as the metro stations. The only bad thing about the hotel is that the walls are very thin, but besides that it was perfect. The staff speaks english and were ready to help at anytime. Another thing is that if you fly in early they won't let you check in until 2pm, but they hold your luggage which allows you to explore the area while you wait to check in. All in all a very good hotel.

Everything is a short walk away. It is in the perfect location to get to every part of barcelona. You can walk or catch the metro, it is very easy.

Hotel is generally nice. The location is good if you want to be on the Las Ramblas, however we felt it is better to be on the east side of Las Ramblas where it's not as touristy. The hotel looks very nice and is updated, however, it needs some cleaning especially the carpets in common areas. It is also very loud throughout the night, but you get used to it. The staff was great and I would stay in this hotel again.

A very nice weekend break
The Hotel was great forthe location, very near to all amenities, especially restaurants. The hotel bedroom walls were so thin you could hear your neighbours talking, not too good that at 2 0'clock in the morning they still had the TV bleariing to the point we couldn't sleep, and then at 7 in the morning the noise started again, I thought they were in our room when I woke up. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful. I would stay in this hotel again if they could do something to change the acoustics. By our standards I feel it was no better than 3star.

For a fantastic experience go to Los Caracoles Restaurant, the food is first class, ask for details at Reception, they will give a print out map, it is a ten minute walk from Hotel. There are also many Tapas Bars, better to stick to the side streets as on the Ramblas you will get stitched up.

add'l night on back end of our europe cruise
This hotel was just a block off Las Ramblas and that's where you want to be in Barcelona. It was fine for a night. The bed was hard as a rock, the walls are paper thin and you can hear every noise including conversations from neighboring rooms. Apparently, europeans are very energy conscience. You can't turn on the lights without your room key and the a/c never gets below 80 degrees farenheit. The staff was there in body only. They didn't seem to much care about you or their jobs and just answered questions in a terse almost insulting way. I wouldn't stay here for more than a night or two and only for the location. It was terrific!

Have tapas and sangria at a small restaurant on a boat dockside right off the pier. Take a cab down to the Chris Columbus monument and turn left about a half mile.

Uncomfortable stay
This is an acceptable hotel; however, the need for ac was realized, but they do not have it running during the fall or winter season so it was very comfortable. Of course, we tried to leave the window open and the abundance of noise was overwhelming. Hence, the location was great, but the sauna like room and/or noisy alley during the fall season is something to evaluate for future guests.

Fotoet af swimmingpoolen er misvisende, Vi vil anbefale at angive målene på swimmingpoolen i jeres hotelbeskrivelser. Så betalte vi ekstra DKR 1400,- få at flyve med IBERIA, men vi blev sat på et fly fra VUELTA med usædvanlig dårlig sidde plads, om igen Mr Jet
