read comments and only negative was thin walls and noise complaints. turned out to be the least of the problems. I stayed for about 15 minutes and left forfeiting my payment. found another hotel that was more expensive but far superior. my first
bad experience since booking thru you.
I was waken up several times in the middle of night by constant dog barking next building (apparently apparment builing behind us), and a couple of times waken up by the door opening the room next door (apparently no sound proof)! Terrible
experience I didn't get any sleep at all. Although location is ok, there are plenty of other hotels near by so I won't recommend this hotel simply due to its location. The guy works at the front desk did not offer any help for any question and was quite rude and aweful. Room is quite small, more like a motel with no any upgrade. With this price, you are much better off choosing other near by HOTELS.
The hotel is in a great location but needs updating. The continental breakfast was poor at best. The front desk evening personnel was not helpful. The location, within walking distance to the aquarium and Picasso Museum, the Burgos Open air market
and restaraunts makeup for the negative.
The good - a good location and the Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bad - although the rooms were clean, the hotel has seen better days and I am surprised this is 3 star. The rooms we booked (3rd floor) were dark, had
uncomfortable beds and were very noisy from people exiting the lifts. The worst part was that the walls were so thin you could even hear what the the neighbouring guests were doing in their bathrooms.
I needed an additional evening and was charged less
at the front dest than what Orbits charged me for the origianl nights stay.
Very little english spoken and was not able to get directions to locations or recommendations for places
was clean but room security could be an issue
The location was great, there's a lot to see in walking distance,a bit dodgey at night but fun.The best thing I can say about my room is that it was clean and the bathroom was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the ac didn't work so it was
very stuffy almost insufferable some nights.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
EL Corte Ingles great view from Rotunda ask about tax free and if they have coupon promotions (I saved 10% and 20% back on tax free)
The room was clean and was the only one with hardwood floors instead of carpet. I actually liked it better because of that. It was small but adequate (you don't go on vacation to stay in the room). The real problem was the noise from the street
below. The hotel is well located (right on La Ramblas) but the noise from the street at night makes it impossible to sleep. The breakfast was good. The staff at the hotel was helpful but only grudgingly so--it always seemed to be an imposition when we asked a question.
most lower priced european hotels in our experience are really on level with our motorlodges. This was like a motel 6 (maybe not as clean). There was an old dining room which was probably very elegant in its day but it was closed. On the up side a reasonable hot breakfast was included and the location was right on La Rambles no less than thousands of eaterys and shops including the massive open market, with in five minutes walking. Lots of siteseeing in walking distance and a metro stop (super fast, easy and clean) steps from the hotel entrance. Overall great value unbeatable location if you are looking for a five star you won't get it in this location at this price.
