No Frills
This place is all about location--center of the city right on the Ramblas and a block in either direction from a metro stop. However, the hotel itself is just ok, not bad, not great. If you want a clean place to sleep after a long day of sightseeing, it works just fine. However, if you're used to a lot of amenities (even small things like little bottle of lotion or hand towel are not offered here) and/or staff going out of their way to assist you, this won't be the place for you.

Long walk from hotel
Shops are generally closed on Sunday. If you need to do any retail shopping, the mall at the end of Rambla del Mar (the pier) is open--called Maremagnum.
