NH Calderon Barcelona
This is a very nice hotel and the location is absolutely perfect. Although it is right in the busy part of Barcelona, the rooms are quiet. Breakfast is a bit pricey, but one can just walk out of the hotel and there are loads of cafes and restaurants right at the door step. We would definitely go back there [ hopefully soon!]

Nightlife tip:
Long walk from hotel
A traveller must go at the week end to see the "magic fountain" show which is free. The easiest way is to go by metro to Plaça d'Espanya. The show is all year round after sunset [ Friday and Saturdays only in winter]

Great for busy sightseeing schedule
Great location for seeing the sights, whether walking or on public transport. Good sized, comfortable rooms. Rooftop pool was a fantastic place to escape the city bustle and wind down before dinner.

Terrific place at a reasonable price
We were very pleased with our short stay at this simple business class hotel before our Barcelona cruise. The hotel is on a relatively quiet street, just a block or two from anything and everything you would ever want in the heart of Barcelona. The price we got through Orbitz was a steal for a place of this quality in such a great area. Everything about the hotel itself was very pleasant. Check-in went very smoothly and our room was ready even though we arrived before check-in time. The room was ample-sized (bigger than we expected for a large European city) and very modern and stylish, with unusual wood floors and excellent beds. The bathroom was very up-to-date. The only issue I had was figuring out how to operate the lights, but once the staff explained it, things were fine. The desk staff was both helpful and friendly, patiently answering several questions and offering help like providing adaptors so I could charge my Blackberry. All in all, this is a very nice place to stay if you want to be in a central location in a modern hotel charging a very reasonable price.

Location Location & Location!
Our experience was terrific! The location couldn't have been better, the hotel staff was courteous and English speaking ( a plus). The only thing that I wish could have been better was the air conditioning system in our suite. One room in the suite was overwhelming cold & the other felt like the Sahari desert. Overall, I would defintely stay their again, but I did feel obligated to be truthful about the a/c.

Short walk from hotel
The Aerobus is in Catalunya (2 blocks away). Leaves every 5 min to/from airport with only 1 other stop. It is about 20-30 minute ride to airport. Only 5,30Euro each. Pay at busstop. If you can hoof it 2 blocks this beats a taxi at 35-40 Euros.

Great location...Great hotel
This hotel is stylish and has wonderful staff. It is at a walking distance from major activities and shopping outlets. Proximity to Las Ramblas while in a quiet location as very attractive.

Very nice place to stay
Super location, very quiet rooms, helpful staff, spotless rooms. Sorry, did not try in hotel food service since so many close-by places to eat. Hotel is very "green" so bring your own bath soap and hair conditioner...and a face cloth if you like/need one. Would stay here again with no hesitation, don't think you can beat the location and overall great hotel experience. Only queen size bed or two twins seemed to be available.
