Deluxe rooms feature a private patio. Two latest additions are art-inspired. The Gaudi-themed junior suite has a separate living room. The property's most exclusive unit, the Dali suite, is a decor nod to the famous Surrealist painter, with a private terrace offering direct access to the sun deck.

Unhelpful
I booked this hotel for my parents. They had stayed here before and loved it. Things have obviously changed. Firstly my parents were put in a tiny room at the back of the hotel. Two single beds pushed together and not enough room to open their suitcases. A sweat box. Obviously squeezing people in. But more horrible was that my father got ill upon his arrival. My mother asked at reception for an English speaking doctor. The hotel got one which was fine but not once did they ask was everything ok or bat an eyelid when they had to check out early to go home. I understand that a hotel is not responsible for a guests well being but my goodness I would have thought that they would have the good grace to check if this older couple were ok. This is my first time writing a review on a hotel and I'm sorry it has to be so negative. But I am so angry at the level of indifference of this hotel and it's staff.

Great Location and Courteous Staff
We stayed here 2 nights in April 2012. Staff speaks English, is courteous and very willing to answer questions. Location is as described on website and easy walking distance to many sites. Metro is close and about 2 blocks to Aerobus to and from airport. Our room was clean and quiet. If you can get a decent price, it is a good choice. We will likely stay here on our next visit to Barcelona.

cellar de tapas is just up the street on Placa Universitat. Food was good and it has a lively vibe. Service inconsistent but not really bad.

Exceptionally good for a 3* hotel
Perfect location with less than a 5 minute walk from Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas, but just far enough away from the noise and bustle to get some much needed peace. All the staff were lovely and we got maps and tourist information on check in. I had expected terribly small rooms from the reviews but was pleasantly surprised - room 501 on the 5th floor was very comfortable with a great bed and the bathroom was actually quite large. Everything was spotlessly clean and new towels were provided every day (even though we didn't request them). Breakfast was worth the €9 extra we paid for it, a wide selection of cereal, yoghurt, cold meats and cheeses, full hot buffet, toast, pastries etc. The best 3* hotel I've ever stayed in for its class and brilliant value for money when booked as part of a flight+hotel package. I will definitely go back again.

Great Value and Location!
Great location and easy to walk to many hot spots like La Rambla. Be sure to check out all the back alleys, too! The Mercat is nearby and has the best fresh squeezed juices and fruit for less than 2 Euros! Metro just outside makes it so easy to get around to see all the Gaudi sites. The hotel room was TINY but really well laid out. The maid service was fabulous. Our room had a little balcony and black out curtains. The bathroom is well equipped - lots of hot water and good water pressure. Quiet enough despite the central location. The breakfast buffet probably is worth the discounted rate we were offered of 9 Euros per person if you pre-book at the start of your stay (15 Euros otherwise). We had trouble finding good breakfast spots and unless you enjoy pastries for breakfast, I'd book the hotel buffet.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
Along Psg de Gracia there is tons of great shopping. If you get the TAX FREE voucher, BE SURE to redeem at Placa de Catalunya BEFORE you go to the airport. It was so confusing at the airport, we never got our 50 Euros tax back... :(

Very nice hotel in a great location
We have found this hotel as we wanted a hotel near Placa Catalunya, and we wanted to pay a reasonable price. We were very happy with the hotel. It is in a great location (2 minutes walk from Place Catalunya and La Rambla). The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we approached them on any issue. We stayed there 3 nights, and were very happy. The room we got had some dust in it (under the bed), and so we asked them to send someone, and they cleaned it immediately, even though the maid was just about to leave. We will definitely recommend and would love to return.

Hotel was located right in the heart of the city and offered anything from fast food to lovely resturants within walking distance. Shopping was just a few doors down from the hotel. Tours were available at the end of the block. It offered everything within a short walk.
