Hotel Gran Ducat

Very helpful on what to do in Barcelona. It was in the downtown area

The hotel had minimal amenities, but has everything you need for a short stay in Barcelona. The staff was very helpful as well. I recomend for a one or two night stay!

The location is perfect, close to everything you need. The WiFi was down, and never came back since the second day of my stay. Don't stay in the lower floor room, Metro passing by day and night.

This hotel was in an awesome location....right down the street from Plaza Catalunya and therefore near alot of major attractions but overall the room was VERY small but clean and simple. The hotel itself was simply done..nothing too special. Besides this, my only major complaint would be the noise. It wasn't because of our centralized location in Barcelona,,,it was within the hotel itself...the quality of the doors with the younger (and I am 32!) crowd made it hard to sleep at night:(

the hotel is in a very good location .very quiet,and a lovely staff.

the standard of 3-star hotel in Barcelona (may be in other European countries) is for more lower than those in the U.S. or Asia. Don't expect a lobby, concierge, bellman, coffe shop or pool etc. Rather this is a neat place for you to sleep. As a tourist, we shouldn't ask too much because everything is expensive. Furthermore, hotel rate keep rising every day in peak season.

I really like the location of this hotel. Everything are around us. The most important street which is las Rambla is just two blokes from the hotel. Also, the station city buses are on front of the hotel and the metro is just 20 meter from the hotel. On the other hand, the rooms are very small but modern and clean. I think this hotel is good for guys friend but not families because the small rooms. Also, u can ask the people who work in the front desk about which places that u can visit, they are very helpful. Room was big enough for two and clean. The service was always correct and free wifi was nice to have. I asked for a room that doesn't give on the street (which I suppose to be noisy) and we got it. There was no view but for the view I prefer to go in the city. So no noise didn't come from outside but from the corridor you could hear everything, also you could hear the metro (though I got used to it). But light-sleepers: take your earplugs with you! Not sure if there was some air-conditioning (the thing on the wall didn't work), but it wasn't as hot as outside, but could have been cooler also! The location is perfect, the central area Placa de Catalunya (aerobus from/to the airport) is just 1min walk and you have cafes, bars and shops just outside.

room was like utility room very small, window was looking to a ventilation area, our room has hotel's air conditioning ducks very loud noise always, very cheap- bad mattress - torn at the side-we had a hard time sleeping , second day we put all the towels on a floor for fresh ones , came back and found all the dirty towels(some of them were wet)on hangers we couldn't believe it and there is no wash-cloths.Tv. was not working, no end-tables, no service bar . This place is close to a major attraction but not a good neighborhood , I recommend to find hotels little far but good ones. Because of this hotel we were very uncomfortable and stressful in Barcelona. I am not the person who spends lots of time in hotel, but this hotel is really terrible .Before booking I read all the reviews and thought how bad could it be? and we were only looking central location and I was wrong! do not book this hotel ever!!!
