Nice and Clean
If you want to shop at Gucci and Chanel all day you are in the right area. There are many good restaurants within walking distance. It is a short walk or you can also take the bus/metro to las Ramblas or Sagrada Familia. Most of the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful except one who simply expected me to know how to get around.

Short walk from hotel
There are many places to dine in the area. There is a very good restaurant right next door called Costa de Gallega (I think that is how you spell it).
