We stayed one night after our 7 day Celebrity cruise to experience Barcelona. The location is fabulous, just outside Ramblas ... and the gothic quarter, but we stayed clear of Ramblas....to crouded. There was more than enough to see nearby. Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, easy to see and experience, and never a feeling of danger. With every turn, there is a picturesque little alley or street with a little shop, cafe, boutique, or just a neighborhood that breathes life, beauty and charm. We took in the marina and aquarium in the afternoon, and just enjoyed the day. Try it!

In the center of all attractions. Mins to Las Ramblas, subway and hop on and hop off Bus. Lots of nice restaurants. Less then ... 10 minutes to the port and beaches. Lots of action.

Like staying with the part of your family you actually like. Super large rooms, good breakfast offerings. Restaurant in lower ... part of building only choice - but an excellent one filled with locals eating good food. Short drive into Siena, but so peaceful to be in the country.

Wsas rated four stars, but should be a three or a two. The rooms are small. They have breakfast, but no signage anywhere to ... indicate that it is available. Staff is friendly and speaks english. Location is great, but there are lots of hotels like this around that are better looking with bigger roomsThey have some problems with Orbitz - I booked a room with breakfast, buyt it wasnt on my confirmation, so they changed me $20. There were lots of other relally nice

Best of 3 we stayed at in Europe

Room was pretty clean. Size was nice, fairly big including bath. Had a nice size safe. Electricity converter would not fit ... (round). No wash clothes in Europe and hard to shower, no shelf in shower for items. On and off bus discount at hotel was a plus.

This hotel is modern, clean and in a great location for touring Barcelona. We were in our room in Nov 2008,the temperature ... outside ranged from low 40F to mid 50F, upon arriving to the room the whole fifth floor seemed excessively hot. When we opened the door the room was in excess of 85 degrees F. When we tried to start the air conditioner nothing happened. We called the desk and was informed they don't run A/C after the summer months and all we could do was shut the heat completely, and open the window. The hotel and this room faced a main city street so you can imagine the noise level with the window open. Even after several hours with the window open we could not cool the room down.Over the course of four days we complained several times but were never offered a solution. Our other complaint was the shower, it is set up in a way which makes it virtualy impossible to shower with out flooding the bathroom floor.

The Eurostars Laietana Palace is very well located. It is close to the cathedral and metro and just a few streets over from ... the main pedestrian street Las Ramblas. The room was not large but it was very clean and quite acceptable. Wireless internet is available but expensive. However, there is free internet access from a PC in the lobby. It's a 5 Euro cab fare from Placa Catalunya (where the airport bus stops).

The staff was very helpful and spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was not as convenient to ... shopping and on a noisy street but within walkable distance for healthy individuals. The breakfast meal was not of good quality. Only one computer is available near the bar which I never saw open. All in all a clean, friendly place but no real incentive to stay here again.
