Eurostars Cristal Palace

We spent a weekend away in Barcelona and wanted a nice hotel in a good location. The location was very good with being pretty much right on Las Ramblas, but we did not suffer the noise because we were a bit further up the strip. The rooms were very clean, but very small and the view was simply of the building next door, which was about 3 feet away. The breakfast was wonderful and included. My biggest complaint was that the staff was not very friendly or helpful. I asked for recommendations for restaurants and help in getting around and I was given a map with the location of the hotel and they were not able to give me any recommendations except to go out to Las Ramblas and walk down. Overall, it was a fine place to stay for a weekend but I just thought we'd get a bit more for the price we paid, although it may have been due to the location. We felt very safe, it was easy to get around from this location, so I would recommend the hotel.

Well situated in a quiet neighborhood. Staff are friendly and speak enough English to assist English speaking travelers. Easy to walk to major Barcelona attractions and metro stops. Lots of restaurants in surrounding blocks. Great shopping nearby. Rooms are quite small, but comfortable and the bathroom is a nice size. Jetted tub a nice plus. Not sure how this compares to other hotels in the area as this was our first trip to Barcelona, but would stay here again and recommend.

Really a very nice hotel and affordable compared to its 4star quality hotel. Staff went out of their way to make us comfortable during our stay. Very well located. Definitely highly recommended!

Other than the location and free parking, not much going for this hotel. AC was preset and not very useful, and you need AC in Barcelona in august. Staff was not very friendly and walls in room were dirty. But if all you want is the right location, this may be your spot. Two blocks from central plaza. Of note, although a little pricey, the double-decker bus tour of the city is worth the price. You can get on and off anywhere and runs till 9. Great way to see the city.

Room was clean and nicely sized, staff was fine. We spent very little time in our room and the location could not have been better for us. Everything in BCN was within walking distance.

This is a wonderful hotel the staff was absolutely wonderful as we'll. The hotel is in a great area close to almost everything, restaurants, bars, entertainment and La Rambla which nobody that goes to Barcelona should ever miss. La Boqueria is also with in walking distance also one of our favorite places to visit. We enjoyed our stay here so much we are thinking about going again for our honeymoon. The only cons that we could actually complain about is the size of the room it was not the biggest, the room was very clean and so were the amenities. European hotels specially boutique hotels like this one are not known for they're huge rooms but for they're hospitality and uniqueness. Bottom line is that we loved this hotel and all our experiences that came along with it.

Excellent hotel in great location. My only comment is that I did not feel that the staff in reception were particularly helpful - one example - I wanted to know how to get to the airport - take the bus or the metro was the reply. I would have been nice if they could have taken a map and shown me which metro station. It turns out that one has to take the RENFE and one can't go into the closest passeig de gracia station. They should have told me specifically. I was leaving before breakfast was served at 7am and mentioned this to the receptionist - it would have been nice for them to have organised a packed breakfast which was included in the price of the room not an extra. Have had better service elsewhere.

Quite clean. But the staff were not very friendly. Also the we could hear every sound from next room.
