An appealing blend of historic charm and contemporary flourishes
Housed in a retrofitted neo-classic mansion at the heart of the Gothic Quarter, Eurostars Laietana Palace is an elegant hotel of palatial proportions. History is palpable at this upscale retreat. Guests gaze right at the Roman wall of ancient Barcino from the back of the property. This oasis amidst the hubbub of Catalonia's capital features soundproofed rooms overlooking either the busy thoroughfare of Via Laietana or the Roman wall. Up-to-the-minute rooms come equipped with plasma TV, free Wi-Fi and hydro-massage in the bathrooms.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had. E

Absolutely horrible experience. The location is bad, staff unfriendly. Very little English, rude about directions. No carpet in rooms, all rooms small and noisy. Was sick, had to spend time in room--only CNN abnd BBC news. Rooms were cold and heating didn 't work well. Showers had broken or missing shelves, no bathtubs. No shampoo or conditioner. Only one roll of toilet paper at a time. This is barely a two star hotel at best. One block on either side are millions of hotels that are ten times better

Bad recommnedation from Orbitz

There are so many better hotels at the same price. This is a bad boutique hotel- masking tape holding up light switches, tiny and nosiy rooms, no services, a horrible hotel.
