My girlfriend and I stayed here to explore and discover what Spain had to offer and what an excellent choice we made. Our room was a Junior Suite, which was superb and highest recommended. The staff were friendly and able to offer advice on
transport links and the buffet breakfast was amazing. There was a huge choice to suit everyone. The hotel is in an ideal location for site seeing, close enough to walk to the main square and restaurants within the area, of which there are plenty to chose from. We will definitely come back and stay again.
Our second stay at this hotel - it is a mainly business hotel with a busy conference side. We were there during the international swimming event and the place was full of people involved in that. We were there as tourists and it suited us fine -
very comfortable, large rooms, very efficient staff, and impeccably clean. It depends what you want - it is a bit impersonal, but the breakfasts are really excellent! If you want somewhere close to Montjuic, it's ideal, if you want somewhere close to the old centre, go elsewhere.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Eat at lunchtime - you can get a good meal all-in for 9 or 10 euros. Evenings are a very different story and hugely more expensive.
Stayed at this hotel 4 nights with my girlfriend. Very large room, comfortable bed, and friendly helpful staff. Shower floor was slippery so requested and was given a rubber floor mat for the shower floor. Great location because it was close to
several attractions and many different types of restaurants.
We had an amazing time in Barcelona, location was great close to all metros and only minutes away by taxi from the heart of things, great restaurants and site seeing, hotel was very nice but should have mentioned that there is building work going
on as it didn't in the pre booking stage, anyway they moved us to a much nicer room so alls well that ends well.......
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Great atmosphere, great food right on your doorstep, with a good piano bar too......
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We were on our honeymoon and Barcelona was our last place to visit in Europe. Out of the 5 hotels we stayed at this was the best one! Great price, awesome customer service, free wifi, great location and
our room was huge it was awesome. Can't wait to go back.
Staff very nice, professional. Room spacious, bed comfortable, large bathroom. OK location but you must walk to Plaza Espana to pick up transportation to Las Ramblas or anywhere else unless you want to pay for taxis (which can get pretty costly).
Plaza Espana is relatively close, but it is a bit of a hike so if you have any problem walking or don't like to walk much, it can be an inconvenience. Hotel is kept fresh-smelling and cool in the summer (can't say that about all the local hotels)and feels serene and elegant. Eating at the hotel is not always practical because the breakfast buffet & dinner restaurant are very expensive. Overall good value for the price, just a bit far from the "action".
