Snazzy hideaway with a rooftop pool a hop and a skip from the beach
A quick walk away from the beach and Puerto Olimpico, Confortel Barcelona is a sleek modern hotel with a full spectrum of facilities. In addition to free Wi-Fi in the contemporary guest rooms, the hotel features a rooftop swimming pool. Right next to the pool is a fitness center and a sun terrace. The on-site restaurant specializes in Mediterranean fare. The location, steps away from the beach, is superb. The city centre is easily accessible via a short four-stop ride on the metro.

Not great for the money, but ok overall.
Nice modern look, free internet, good A/C. And it was only two blocks from the beach. But virtually no amenities for $260 Euros a night! No washcloth, no Kleenex, no in-room coffe, no free breakfast, no airport transport. Even the nice staff could not make me return at the price.

Great hotel. Would definitely revisit!
Love the hotel. Staff is extremely friendly, hotel was extremely clean & spotless. Very modern decor. Also in a quiet location. About a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway station. Best if you take the Poblenou station instead of Llacuna (as that is a deserted area). Would definitely stay there again for the great price.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Take the Poblenou station to the hotel for a safer walk. The Llacuna station is closer but the area is deserted. It's safe to walk at night and takes about 10 minutes. Also buy the T-10 subway card for about $7.85 Euros. Great deal.

i appreciated the free internet service
there were two very good restaurants close by.there city map available in the hotel was not available in english therefore i could not read it. passes with discount for the hop on hop off bus tours was not available to all the guests which would have been an additional attraction to the hotel if it was available

Good Value near Olympic Port. New.
Sleek decoration,not far from Olympic Village, Port and historical Barcelona neighborhoods. Poor public transportation other than taxis. Luxury hotel appearance at a good price

Barcelona stay
travel with daughter for study abroad program. Hotel was very clean. it took a long time to check in upon arrival. We had to wait for 5 1/2 hours with no early check in. Most of the staff was friendly however the initial staff members we met were not very friendly or helpful. This was the first trip abroad I have taken. over all the experience was very nice.

Beautiful, contemporary hotel, close to Metro, friendly staff
The hotel was a beautiful, contemporary hotel. Very modern, clean. A pleasant surprise and a great value. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was a place to relax. The free minibar was an extra plus. However, our stay was still pleasant. Unfortunately, my son had to make a makeshift bed on the floor.
