Catalonia Born Hotel

The hotel and the rooms are very clean and updated for the modern living. We didn't have any complaints towards the hotel. The staff was also very helpful when we needed answers from them. Another great thing about the hotel was the proximity of the metro stop which is less than a block away. The location for the hotel was not the best since its few blocks from the main Las Ramblas strip and the good restaurants but once you are there for couple day you can navigate through the back streets and cut the commute. Overall we had a great experience and if we were to visit Barcelona again we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Would definitely stop again Positives were, -Arc de Triomf is within a stones throw from the hotel doorstep. Very central location -Metro station & large park were also very close. -Hotel Staff were very friendly and accommodating. -Room was fine, clean and big enough -Supermarket just around the corner Only downsides were, -Room was next to an alley way which did get noisy at night, and the only view was into the opposing apartments front room. (we were warned by other sites to stay away from the elevators) -paying a city tax on the check out, but maybe i should have looked into this before going. (wasn't much about 1.75 per night)

The Hotel is ideally located near the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas. The room was fairly small. The staff were courteous and helpful. Great value for the location and comfort !!

Hotel has a great location for all main sights and the beach is easily accessible. Rooms were clean, bed could have been a little more comfortable.

Nothing special about the hotel, though the location was great. A/C did not work to well, which is not a good thing if you plan on being there in the summer. The star system in Europe seems to be a full star inflated, this was definitely not a 4 star hotel by american standards, but still okay.

I had traveled to Barcelona by myself, (and greatly recommend solo-tripping). On booking this I had read the reviews and heard of all the unexcellent service, and I am saying, not so! The only thing that I am dissapointed about is that I had spent all my euros by the end of my trip (using credit cards) and was unable to tip the desk man who stayed while I walked around every night and let me back, who also called my taxi and helped me with a smooth and quick checkout. The shower head was broken and sprayed water out the left side and slightly affected the pressure. One time room service called me asking if I was the room that had ordered the pizza. That was comical :) I had a great stay, its location is amazing. Next to the Arc de Triomf which makes travel and finding 'home' very easy, very close to the plaza de cataluna, extremely close to some awesome parks, don't expect amazing butler service, but they will go beyond just helping you. Plus Barcelonans are just nice people too 3 stars for the shape of the place 4 stars for the service 4 stars for the location

Close to the Franca Estacio railway station . Friendly staff. Charge extra for a safe in your room. The room had a bar fridge. A fifteen minute to twenty walk to the Rumbla area. Closest eating was about a 10 minute walk. Located in an old area of Barcelona, so streets are narrow. Over all fairly good value for your money.

A very good hotel with helpful reception staff. Only about 15minutes walk from La Rambla. Some nice little local bars/cafe style places in the hotel area---and only 1.50 euro for a bottle of beer in these places. A pint of Guinness in the pubs at La Rambla is over 5 euros---although that did not stop me ?. Would I go back to Catalonia Prncesa-----a resounding YES !

It would be great if you could have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Apart from this we were very happy with our stay and would reccomend the hotel to others.

I would book to go here again. It is located in the historical part of Barcelona about 10 minutes from La Rambla and about 20 minutes walk from the port. A Metro is about 5 minutes walk away. The staff are pleasant and the rooms are very good indeed.
