Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto Hotel Barcelona

We used this hotel as a jumping off point for the airport, and it worked well for that. It was clean, well staffed, and comfortable. We ate twice in the restaurant, ordering simple sandwiches. Both the price and the quality were great. The hotel has shuttle service to the airport, but we did have to wait about 30 minutes each time to be picked up. It is not close enough to be used for easy trips into Barcelona.

And excellent location between the airport and the cruise port. Wonderful food and drink. Modern and comfortable rooms. A highly knowledgeable and friendly staff, with fine English skills. We will return to this fine hotel!

We only had a layover night in Barcelona and if this was my only impression of Barcelona it was great. The shuttlevan picked us up and delivered us as promised (Parking G) The rooms were very modern and ecofriendly. The restaurant has a great restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend this to other travelers who need a close to the airport stay!!

We booked this hotel to be close to the airport. It was appealing because the price was good and it had a free shuttle to the airport and a pool and was 4 stars. Too good to be true. It was a dump. I wouldn't get in the pool. It was old and run down and all you heard all night was people in the other rooms and trucks outside. Funny thing was they had a very expensive restaurant but who would pay those prices in a place like that. We had some wine on the terrace and they barely filled the glass. I would not recommend this hotel

Clean, efficient, easy bus ride to downtown, free airport shuttle. Great value.

Close to the airport, this hotel is OK for a short layover but not for a longer stay. I was pleased to read in another review that there is a supermercado only 50 meters away, but this should have read 5 km. There is absolutely nothing nearby. The restaurant is expensive and choices limited, but the service is excellent as is the meal itself. The hotel is curious - as we walked down the 1970s cinderblock hallway, I was regretting the choice. But then it opened into a beautifully refurbished room, trendy decor, and all of the amenities necessary. Services for travellers, like a computer/printer where you can print your boarding pass, were a plus. Next time, though, I'd probably spend the extra $30 and stay at the Renaissance.

The hotel staff was helpful, the room was clean and modern and did not lack anything. We stayed the night after a cruise and were happy with the room, available food and free transport to the airport. It was also a good value based on the price. We would stay here again.

The decor is very modern, a nice touch, and you can't beat the amenities (free wifi throughout and free airport shuttle). BUT beware if you are put in a room facing the front side of the hotel. The main road it's on sounded like a truck super highway all night long. There's a traffic light right out front so you'll be treated to the sounds of squealing brakes, rumbling engines, and air hisses from 10PM to 6AM. I guess it's because all the truck drivers avoid all the traffic during the day. The only reason it was a problem at this particular hotel is because the windows/walls do a poor job of sound proofing the room and the thermostat is preprogrammed to a warmish temperature making you wish you could crack the window a bit. The food in the lobby is quite pricey. A burger and pork sandwich with drinks cost us $45. The only thing reasonable on the restaurants dinner menu was the prefix meal for €23 a person which included water and wine. The room itself was decorated nicely, very clean with a stylish bathroom.

They should include a free breakfast like the other ordinary hotels.

Difficulty with communications with the substitute registration desk clerk. Very limited english speaking staff. So frustrating when you need more informations.
