Barcelo Sants

The Barcelo Sants is a cool hotel. Located directly above the Sants train station, although you'd never know it. The room was very quiet. The rooms look like an ad for IKEA. The bed was big and comfortable although they didn't change our sheets in 6 days of staying there. Also, the toilet is located in little closet steps from the bed and door is sliding door that doesn't seal the room at all. So if you are traveling with a companion...better be pretty "comfortable" with one another because you will hear every noise that happens in there! Luckily, I was with my wife, so no big deal. But for those that are "toilet shy", be warned. Beyond those things, no real complaints. Perfect place for access to Metro, busses or trains. We got in from train from Madrid and within a few mins we were in our room. That's nice. Every day we were exploring the town using the metro that stops right there. So that comes in handy. We'd definitely return here.

Barcelo Sants had undergone some renovations since I was last there and they chose to go with a weird futuristic theme. Despite that, it was comfortable, close to Barcelona's sights and conveniently located with easy access to the metro and airport train.

The Barcelona Sants was extremely convenient as we arrived by train and the hotel was just above the train station. One would have thought there would be a lot of train noise in the room, but there was none. The Barcelona tour buses all have stops right outside the doors which was also very convenient. Full service restaurant was good, althought dining room for evening meals didn't open until 830pm. When wishing to eat earlier, though, one could order from the regular menu in an area outside the dining room. Room was nice with two twin beds, huge picture window, adequate closet space and a tub/shower/bidet. The only thing that could have been improved were the beds - the mattresses were quite firm/hard.

easy to find the hotal lacation,and so close to every where is just so convient.we well come back next time or tell a friends.

No hot water in 5 days before 7 A.M. Great location, train direct from airport to hotel, plus metro.

After reading previous reviews on record, I was really agonizing about the anticipated noise level and cleanliness. However, I went ahead and booked for four nights May 17-21,2009. We stayed in room no.422. Our room looked over the Sants train station with sweeping views of the rolling hills cityscape. Room was very spacious (floor to ceiling glass window) and the bathroom (6'x8')was spotless. We had good airconditioning control. We didn't hear any noise. The breakfast for Euro 9.99 per person was a phenomenal deal considering the variety offered. You can buy it on the spot. The only thing we noticed was that the carpet was a bit dated but in good condition. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

I really enjoyed my trip, great location and easy to go any where in Barcelona, The Train Station, Bus Stops and Taxi were all great help to Navigate the City.

Very good hotel. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location - walking distance to all city centre attractions. Woulkd certainly recommend this hotel to friends

this is a wonderful hotel with sooo many amenities! The hotel doesn't look like it would be much from the outside but on the inside the rooms are very futuristic and cool--and the fact that it's literally directly on top of the Sants Estació train and metro station doesn't hurt either! the room has the most comfortable bed ever, great comforter, great pillows, and the window shades are electronic and come all the way down to block the light out 100% if you so desire. the shower is very nice, the wifi works great, there is well stocked mini-bar, and there are lots of unnecessary toiletries that are given in the room as well. overall, an excellent place i'd highly recommend!

Everything was efficient and professional. Also it was good value and very well located. I liked the space theme in the hotel foyer and the rooms too. The shower was great.
