Delightful hideaway with a swank contemporary look near Casa Batllo

My Home in Barcelona

From the moment of my arrival to the morning of my departure I found the staff in this hotel to be very welcoming, accomodating, friendly, and most helpful. To me this is very important wherever I stay. Axel is super modern, classy, spotlessly clean, and is in a superb location within easy walking distance of Las Ramblas, and some great bars are right in the neigborhood. I would not stay anywhere else in Barcelona. Just one suggestion: It would be nice to have an iron and ironing board included in the rooms.

If you don't feel like going downtown, there are some great, friendly bars in the neighborhood.
