The historical relevance of Antequera, a Baroque enclave, has taken a new direction in the Parador building, whose installations are frequently uses for the holding of social functions and business meetings. The spacious gardens and swimming pool are refreshing at this privileged crossroads of the Andalusian capitals. Hotel also offers amenities like Children's facilities, Library and Reception.

The nearby Mediterranean bursts inland. Fish and seafood are combined with Malaga's farm and mountain products, providing a healthy and varied diet in which top-quality virgin olive oil is almost ever-present. Traditional dishes prepared by the kitchen staff: Porra Antequerana (Cold vegetable soup), Puchero (stew), Kid Goat, from the Torcal mountains and Bienmesabe (Almond Cream).

central Andalusia

Would recommend Wed, Jul 15, 2015
The town of Antequera is often missed as it is at the crossing of the A92 from Seville to Granada and the A45 from Malaga to Cordoba. In itself it is beautiful with a great history dated back to prehistoric times, through numerous conquests to the present day where it is the centre of Spain's olive producing region. Regular markets and numerous shops, restaurants and places of interest meant that we were never bored. The Parador hotel had superb staff, very obliging and informative. The room was spacious, modern and very good value. Food was excellent and the pool was utilised. Antequera is also a good focal point to visit the previously mentioned cities. Hiring a car from Malagacar Hire at the airport ensured a quick journey to the hotel and we could visit places of interest easily.

Great modern parador

Would recommend Tue, Mar 11, 2014
It lacks the character of the more traditional parador but the decor is ultra modern and attractive nonetheless. Very comfortable, helpful staff and plenty of parking. Very convenient to walk onto the delightful Antequera. We only stayed one night on our way to Cadiz. We look forward to returning for a stay of several days on a future holiday..
