Quite location, but walking distance to anything you want to see
While the location is lively during the day, it is quite quite at night. However, it is in walking distance to anything you want to see. The tram station is not very close, so you'll need to haul luggage or get a cab. There are two Eurostars
locations, the other is near Mercado Central.
I booked online and afterwards sent an e-mail to the hotel, asking about connections from the airport and other practical stuff. I got a quick and informative response. When I got there, the staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and
neat. The location is perfect, in the middle of the old town and close to the main sights. Warmly recommended!
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Cerveceria Sento, Teniente Coronel Chapuli. Really good mini sandwiches with lots of options for filling. Loaded with local customers, nice and "noisy" atmosphere. Very friendly staff, too and they speak English.
Excellent service from reception, checked in on arrival despite it only being 12 noon.
Room safe with payment of deposit only for the key
Excellent breakfast, well worth the 8.50E each
Very easy transport from the airport, via local bus service to
the Marina 2.75E, takes 20 minutes, only 2 minutes walk to hotel
WiFi service a bit patchy, but not a massive problem, lots of local WiFi hotspots
Like Tapas? This is the town for you!
all of the streets adjacent to the hotel were closed due to street construction, making it impossible to access by car. this of course is not the fault of the hotel, i'm sure it is not a problem when the streets are open. otherwise, the hotel
itself was first class. the lobby area is small and unimpressive, but the rooms are chic, smart and clean. great location within 1 block from the marina, beach and waterfront promenade.
