excellent value in great location
If you are looking for a reasonable priced place, in a great location then you might consider this option. Rooms are nothing fancy..and mine didnt even have a window....but aside from that I had a very enjoyable stay. If you like lounging at the hotel or in your room...you might want to chose something more expensive or farther out from downtown. But for my purposes...it was a good compromise. matt

Overall Nice Stay
Location was perfect. Walking distance from Myeongdong (central shopping area), Gyeongbokgung Palace, Jogyesa Temple, and Insadong (tourist souvenirs and art gallery area). Also, the stream that runs through downtown Seoul is literally outside the front door, which makes a nice walk to the palace. The staff was friendly, the room super clean. Very modern, very western. However, I was originally looking for a hotel with complimentary breakfast. On the site it said it was included, but when we got there they said that you had to pay for it. Not sure if this is the hotel's mistake or the booking site. Nevertheless, you can catch some breakfast at one of the 20 coffee shops next to the stream.

If you are going to Insadong area, be aware that the area is highly touristy and has A TON of art galleries. This being said, it is NOT a place full of restaurants and quick eats. So eat a meal prior to shopping through there. Also you can haggle the price down with some little sidewalk vendors. Just smile and be polite, most are very kind to tourists.
