perfectly serviceable hotel on the south side of the river in Seoul. Not particularly well located, being situated between two subway stations. Reasonably convenient for Coex, but not the cheapest option

Excellent service and installations

Upon arrival we got a little surprised with the quantity of restaurants and bars, you can satisfy any of your feeding needs within the hotel. During our stay, we tried three restaurants and all of the delivered what was expected. Guest rooms are new and perfectly cleaned every day. Despite the room rates are no that expensive for a 5-star hotel, everything you purchase within the hotel is 5 times more expensive than on the streets, a Soda in the hotel can cost you USD 5, in the subway you can buy the same one for USD 1, same for alcohols. Also if you travel with your family, don't forget to get into your room no later than 9PN, as after that the lobby gets flooded with prostitutes all night long. I was traveling with my wife and my parents and that really makes you feel pretty much unconfortable, mainly in the hotel bars.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

The view of the rotating restaurant at the N Seoul Tower is great, certainly a must do. Also the french-style dining is certainly worth the 80 bucks.

Excellence in Comfort & Cleanliness

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel: it was comfortable and clean and spacious and had excellent view of the Guangnam district. The guestroom had the electrical power outlets to accommodate US devices, and the cable TV had excellent selection of foreign stations. One minor point that I was disappointed was that they did charge for internet use in the guestroom, when internet access is freely available almost anywhere in South Korea.

Good hotel, location is the issue

The hotel has good facility and with very responsive and courteous staffs. However, the location is not perfect and not as per advertisement (in Co-Ex area). It is located about 2-3 km from Co-Ex and need to walk few hundred meters to subway station.

From the moment I walked in the door, the customer service provided fast and simple help. My room was always very well kept and the hotel is well organised. The location is perfectly placed between two metros. Takes 5 minutes to walk to either. I would stay there again.

My stay at the Renaissance Hotel

My stay at the Renaissance Hotel Seoul with my family for 6 nights was very comfortable. The staff at the Front Desk and the Concierge were generally friendly, helpful and serves with a smile. The service at the Business Center can be better though.

Excellent service

The staff went out of their way to help me with Business Center issues and in finding good restaurants to hold dinner meetings. Fitness center was great and the pool was very clean. I was able to swim laps in it and not just paddle. Great city center location and so many different coffee shops to choose from for my morning caffiene.

Very good recovery on short notice,

Very good recovery on short notice, that saved the Korean part of our vacation after a disastrous stay at a tourist-class hotel, the "Biwon". Works best if you're a businessman who wants a Marriott lifestyle when you're not at work. ;)
