Lexington Hotel Seoul

This hotel in principle is pretty nice, but I would say it is overvalued other than the capacity to hold large gatherings and its location.

Lexington Hotel Seoul is a traditional five star hotel but can be more updated with free built-in internet facilities and some renovation of the guest rooms may be needed. She got a excellent and conveinent location. The envirnment is very quite and comfortable, and the staffs are very kind and helpful.

The foyer is the most impressive aspect of this Hotel. Our room was small but well appointed. Bathroom was adequate. What was most significantly missing was air conditioning. This room became unbearably hot at night and in Seouls muggy weather this was a major negative point. Also got eaten alive by bugs as window was open to compensate. Staff were friendly and helpful and had no trouble speaking English. Internet was provided in room (a little overpriced) and also on the conferance floor for a much better hourly price. Location was good. Close to Airport & subway stops. Yoido has alot of parks so the surrounds were nice in comparison to the rest of Seoul. Overall could've been a bit cheaper based on room size and lack of comfort in the room but not too bad

Hotel rooms run down bathroom flooded when emptied coffee for breakfast cold and weak. Overall staff very good, Buffet dinner good value

The quality of the hotel is towards the lower end of a 4* hotel. The price is also very much to the lower end of a 4* hotel. So, it's not a bad deal. It's certainly not as bad as some of the other reviews claim.

Food and beverages are very expensive

When looking at reviews for the Lexington online, I found them to be very polarized -- either very low, or fairly high. I had booked my room based on a recommendation from a colleague who had stayed there in January, and found it to be quite nice. After seeing my room (on the 9th floor) upon check-in, I found it was very rundown and had seen better days. The rug was grungy, the bathroom was quite basic and the A/C was barely functional (which was an issue considering it was about 35C outside). There was also a very musty/smokey smell coming from the hall way (this was a non-smoking floor) The second day we complained to the front desk about the condition of the rooms and my colleague mentioned that he had stayed on the 13th floor last time, and the rooms were much nicer. The staff informed us that those rooms were an upgrade, and would cost 33,000 KRW a day to upgrade (about $25), which we agreed to. What a difference -- it still wasn't 5 stars by any means, but much nicer, better furnishings, no smell, and the A/C functioned better. The first room looked like it hadn't seen any maintenance since the 80's, this one looked to be reasonably kept up. Location wise, it is no where near the tourist area, if that is what you are looking for. 10 minute walk to the financial district (which was convenient for us), but if you are nervous about not being able to communicate, you might want to look else where (hotel staff were fine, but many restaurants in the area require you to be adventurous and deal with non-English speakers)

ヨイド地区という国会議事堂もある官公庁街にあり、ミョンドンまでは、タクシーで平日は渋滞もあり、４５分　７００円ほどかかります。価格は安く、その割には、設備もサービスも悪くありません。ホテル裏に、セブンイレブン、ミニストップがあり、レストランも２０店舗ほどあり、便利です。ミョンドンや南大門、東大門、古宮には地図以上に遠く、観光とショッピング中心の人には、不向きなホテルです。十分な時間があり、安くあげたい人には、向いています。

Hotel tres moyen selon les standards Coréens, ne mérite pas 4 étoiles même si le personnel est agréable et efficace. L'équipement dans la chambre est vieux, la salle de bain sent très mauvais (canalisations). petite télévision cathodique avec une très mauvaise réception, connexions lectriques très ancienne, chambre très petite, connexion internet très très lente meme avec le cable réseau (pourtant payant en supplément)

ホテルの格は高い感じで、クラシックなインテリアが良い感じ。南大門、東大門や、ミョンドン等のショッピングや飲食街から遠く、ちょっと残念でした。ホテルの周囲にもちょっとした飲食店やコンビニショップはありました。
