Helpful Staff, Great Spa

There's a small, but lovely spa area in the basement with the typical Korean set up: an area to wash, a hot tub, a cold tub, a steam room and a sauna. I had the place to myself when I used it. Access to the spa is free and adds a lot of value. Our room was huge and clean with a laundry machine. My only minor complaint was that the motion-detector lights weren't set up right...so we were constantly waving our hands to keep the light on in the bathroom area. A staff member went to great lengths to help me buy contact lenses...looking up nearby stores and writing a note with my brand and prescription.

Close to one of the big indoor-outdoor markets, the department stores, and boutiques in Myeongdong.

Great hotel and value

Never having been to Seoul before, I didn't know the locations nor what to expect. I got a great package deal from [...] and paid around $200 USD/night. The location is right in the heart of Seoul's business district. City Hall, palaces, and subway are about a 10-15 min walk. The US Embassy is about a 20-30 minute walk as is the Namdaemun market. Plenty of restaurants are nearby. I was expecting tiny rooms, but my room was huge. They have suite-style rooms targeting extended stay travelers but also accommodate shorter stays (mine was for 4 nights). I had a large living room with kitchenette, washer/dryer, a separate bedroom with king bed, and 2 full bathrooms. The only negative was a hard mattress (but I'm told that's the Korean way). Make sure to visit the roofdeck for beautiful views of the city and sunsets. The airport runs nice busses ("airport limousines") every 30 minutes or so for ~$10 USD that drop you off literally right in front of the hotel (saves a ~$80 cab ride). The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided dining recommendations and made reservations for us. Also, there is a coffee shop downstairs!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Take the "airport limousines" from Incheon airport to hotels in Seoul. These "limos" are nice busses that run about every 30 minutes or so and stop at various hotels/locations in Seoul. It's about ~$10 USD each way -- much cheaper than the $80 or so dollars you'd spend on a cab ride. The "limo bus" I took dropped me off literally right in front of my hotel.
