Eastgate Tower Hotel

I had a great time staying at the East Gate Tower Hotel. It has a great location, the staff is friendly and very helpful. They also offer airport pickups, but you have to email the hotel directly and let them know you are interested in this. They have free internet and wireless in the lobby. The breakfast is not free, you have to purchase a meal coupon for 11,000 won. But the breakfast is good and it has a great view of Seoul. So it is definitely worth it.

It was a 4 nights getaway for my wife and I. Great location as a base to get to most of the key attractions in Seoul. Mouth watering local food at nearby restaurants was never more than a few steps away. Shops don't seem to shut until like 5am and only for a short breather. Comfortable and sufficiently modern hotel for the price. A twin room can just about sleep 3 average sized adults if that is the size of your group. Hotel is better than a typical budget hotel. The room has a large sized refrigerator, a washer and small heating area for simple cooking. But it is no frills. There is no room service. Concierge is not by the door most of the time. We saw a total of about 6 different persons managing the small front desk at various time (2 persons at any one time) of whom 1 of them was rude, curt and sarcastic. The others were helpful with the usual visitor-type questions and understood English. Breakfast at the breakfast room was sufficiently good. In short, it is not a hotel with the wow factor but for the price, it is sufficiently modern and equipped, clean, and well located. Will recommend!

Nice cosy hotel, I liked the built in pantry and washer. Some thing it could improve on include - providing free toothbrushes and toothpaste. There is also no foreign currency exchange at the front desk, something which would be useful for travellers. Otherwise, a good place to stay at.

Hotel walking distance from train station and is connected to the shopping centre through a side entrance. Not difficult to find hotel. Great for those who love shopping centres. Train line also brings you to shopping area like Myeongdon 2 stations away. Rm has induction cooker and you can ask for pots and cutlery to do yr own cooking. Hotel staff speak some English. Internet connection in room is available n is cheap. Only the toilet has a weird smell n toilet door too near and facing bed. If you arrive at the hotel earlier then check-in time, they allow you to the room but you have to pay 11000 won per hour.

New and clean rooms. Good hotel facilities. Had to ask for instructions for use of toilet seat written in Korean. Helpful front desk staff. Wrote places and sites in Korean so we won't get lost. Nice location for shopping fanatics. Near all modes of transportation.Plenty of nice restaurants to eat.

Location great if your purpose is shopping for clothes, shoes & anything. Took us 5 days to suss out the surrounds to appreciate this hotel's excellent location. 2 train stations within walking distance. Plenty of eateries. Short distance walk from airport busstop. Safe area. Paranomic view of Seoul from delux room window. Room spacious for japan/korea std. Phone crackles if bed lamp dimmer switch on. Free internet access at foyer. Will be back for more shopping.

Bonne première nuit à Seoul. Hotel agréable, facile à joindre, un peu à l'écart du centre-centre mais vue remarquable depuis la salle du petit dejeuner copieux sur toute la ville. Wifi dans le lobby.

Good location for Dongdaemun shopping area, but disappointed stincks from drain pipes in a bathroom.
