Artnouveau City II Gangnam Serviced Residence

Artnouveau City II is an excellent option for those that are looking for a combination of value, amenities and location in the Southern Seoul area. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants within a short walking distance from the building. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful.

It is listed as a four star facility, however felt like paying a much higher premium for a substandard service. It is not even up to the standard of a three star hotel in the States. The location is reasonably good for a five minute walk to the Gangnam station although it was really hard to find, a lot of the taxi drivers did not know how to get to the hotel, had to call the front desk for direction. We had a crystal room, the room decor had the reminiscence of victorian style, strange but no complaint. One thing bothered us the most was that our room was not cleaned daily, we were told that housekeeping was not available on sunday, kind of unexpected for the price tag we paid. There was not a hair dryer in the room, they brought over a broken one which almost caused electric short. There is no luggage rack in the room, no hand towel in the bathroom, shower cap, body lotion were not supplied. The in room washer/dryer is very helpful, you could call the housekeeping for the detergent.

The hotel was excellent in every aspects except it didn't have sauna facility. You want to make sure which Artnouveau City you are going to since there are three of them in Kangnam, Seoul. I happened to notice one of the tourist was there with the other Artnouveau City's reservation and completely confused/lost.

Clean, well equipped with a washer dryer and small kitchen great for business or pleasure. 24 hour English speaking staff very helpful. 8 minus to gangnam station pronounced gungnum. Take metro 3 stops to COEX mall at samseung station for tons of shopping, dining and movie choices. They even have a clinic and dentists there. Mini mart right next door too. Included breakfast is good and varied. They even gave you two bottles of water per day into your refrigerator. In room Internet not wireless but cable provided. 14 English speaking channels on tv. Mostly news discovery and the like. I have nothing bad to say and we were there for 3 weeks. .

The hotel is very nice, staff very helpful and polite. The problems is there is no bus to take you directly to the hotel...we were dropped of at a bus stop near the hotel and my husband had to get us a taxi...when leaving, we also had to take a taxi to the bus station and then get bus to Incheon airport. Also it is not centrally located. near shopping malls or nice restruants. The hotel I stayed at last year had more amenities.

Very nice hotel. The room was nice and quite. It was a good value in one of the most expensive areas of Seoul. The staff was very profession, friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful. The only real negative was the location. It was off any main streets and a little difficult to find. The taxi drivers in the area didn't know where it was, but after finding it once we are able to explain (my wife speaks Korean).

very good serviced residence, near the MTR No.3 (go straight forward and turn right after about 5 minutes walking.....its good for you to get a map first as its difficult to ask anyone on the way) but for sightseeing, it needs to take time to go to the centre.

The hotel is superb! The location is close to the Gangnam station which has everything. It is slightly difficult to find, and I recommend getting a map from the hotel website [...]The hotel was brand-new. It was built in 2009. I was in the Crystal room (least expensive) with double bed. The room has an LCD TV with a couch. It has wooden floor which is heated with buried hot water pipes. The lighting for the entire room is controlled by a central computer.The room was equipped with a kitchen with all the necessary equipments (pots, pans, rice cooker, kettle, dish soap, etc.) There were also a microwave and a washer/dryer in room!Overall, it was excellent. The only thing missing is an iron/ironing board.
