We were just looking to spend the night close to the Jo'berg airport, and this was great - modern, clean, quiet, and the free airport shutttle took less than 10 minutes.

Comfortable, brand new, well located.
2 minutes from the OR Tambo airport (Johannesburg). Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Modern rooms and very quiet to have a great night sleep before catching a long flight. And after all, a complementary shuttle to the airport. Great hotel!!!

BOUTIQUE AIRPORT HOTEL
THE HOTEL WAS SUPER CHIC AND LITERALLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE JOHANNESBURG AIRPORT. NOT ALL OF JO BURG IS SAFE, BUT THE HOTEL WAS ABSOLUTELY SAFE AND PERFECT FOR OUR OVERNIGHT STAY BETWEEN FLIGHTS. THE RESTAURANT AND BAR WERE GREAT!

Great upscale getaway
I was on a layover to another country in Africa, and just wanted to rest. It was great. The room was very nice and modern. It was comparable to an upscale hotel in New York City. The food was excellent. The bed was super comfortable...I didn't want to leave. There were a lot of sitting areas inside and out, with internet access, and also a nice gym. I will stay there again when I return.

Protea - Johannesburg airport location
This was the perfect hotel for a layover in Johannesburg. The location is about 5 minutes from the airport, the shuttle was very convenient although was not clearly identified as Protea. The hotel looks new, room was very clean with smart design. Highly recommend!

A real find, nice room with fantastic
A real find, nice room with fantastic shower. Nice and cold as I like it and comfortable bed. Great service in the bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet was the best I have experienced in all of my world wide travels. South Africans make very friendly hardworking and consiencious staff. Top place to stay. My only minus, the shuttle driver asked for a tip even though he didnt load any bags or act very friendly. I would have tipped him anyway but dont like to be asked.

Don Clays Shooter
Close and Inexpensive
Checked in, went to the Lounge Bar, had a few drinks,ordered from the Menu and was served at our Bar table and personally visited by the Chief ! Wonderful,exoctic meal !! All around better than any Caribean Hotel and meal we've had and half the price!!

Staff was wonderful ! Even went "on line" and checked us in with South African Airways so we wouldn't have to get up so early the next morning and stand in line!!
