Hotel Staff and Service

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Especially a lady behind the counter who helped us during three separate stays in 2 weeks. The Hotel is about one-half mile from the approach to R/W landing to NorthEast so the planes come Directly over the hotel, but that's OK since the last plane in is about 23:00hrs. There is a shuttle every 30 minutes from 06:00 to about 22:00 and the driving time is about 10 miutes. Very satisfied with the service. Breakfast was the geartest! Stores within 2 blocks (5 Min) walking distance. Pool cool but nice.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a SPAR grocery store just down the street (2 blocks) safe walk. Liquor store 200 m the other way, across inter section. Easy walk.

Not very impressed..

First of all, the Airport Grand is NOT at the airport. There are shuttles from and to the airport, which will pick you up on a 30 Minute basis. The trip is not long, probably about 10 minutes in normal traffic. If you are unlucky like myself and have to wait for the shuttle for 30 minutes, you will get to know all the workers around the airport who will generally inform that the shuttle is about to arrive, and of course be very mad at you if you won't leave a tip to them. I arrived at the hotel at 9pm and had been assigned a smoking room... I have no problems with smoking in general, but this one smelled as it hadn't been opened in weeks. Upon my protest, I was given the room for handicapped visitors - no real shower/bathtub, but at least no smell. Generally, the reception was slow and not very friendly. The hotel itself is nice, and definitely a good value for the money, but don't expect any special service, and try to arrange for airport pickup if possible.
