Great location
I was in Cape Town only for five days and I started with a helicopter tour (you must do it!), I also did the tours with the Red and Blue Buses. Stop #5 and #9 are very close to the hotel. Cape Point and Winelands are also great tours. Game Drive is also a good option if you haven't been to one (it's 200 km away from the town).

Townhouse Hotel and Conference
Very pleased overall. The location was a bit hard to find, but this was overcome by the very helpful staff and excellent service and conditions overall. Upon my arrival, I had difficulty with the wireless internet. The assistant night mgr. went out of his way to help me and finally was able to get the IT tech on the phone who was able to fix the problem which turned out to be a server problem. I was quite impressed with this level of personal service. Restaurant was top notch and service excellent. Highly recommend this hotel!

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
For a affordable and timely sightseeing option, take the red and blue on and off bus. If you only have a couple of days to see Cape Town this is the way to go. I highly recommend the blue bus since this route circles around Table Mtn and stops at the Botanical Gardens, two wineries and is a beautiful scenic drive along the coastline.

Modern hotel, centrally located
I was in Cape Town for 2 weeks for work at UCT. The hotel has all the modern amenities including free wifi (fast enough to video chat) and heated floors in the bathroom during the winter months. The bed and breakfast option was great and the food choices very good. Service throughout the hotel was impeccable! Its within walking distance to many local tourist activities and a short taxi ride to the Waterfront. For the rate I really should give 5 stars!

Great value
Great breakfast, nice lobby and restaurants, rooms have been upgraded and are very nice, bed comfortable. Problem with airconditioner on first day/night. Hotel changed us to another room, but had the same problem there. Finally felt it kick in the following morning, but the weather was cooler, so not sure if this is always a problem or was fixed. The remaining nights were cool, so no further problems. Would stay there again.

Horrible Experience - DO NOT STAY
Hotel decided to do construction at the hotel the day we checked in. The entire hotel was infested with overwhelming odor of turpentine. Staying in the room for 5 minutes made me light-headed and nauseous. I asked the hotel to provide a non-toxic room at this or neighboring hotel. When a substitute room was not provided, the staff refused to give me a refund. The staff could not have been more confrontational or unhelpful. I have traveled around the world and have never had a worse experience when confronted with a bad situation. The staff had the audacity to say my health issues, from their turpentine, was not their responsibility. I spoke with 4 different "managers" who all said they could not help me or issue me a refund. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE HOTEL.
