The Grand Daddy Hotel takes the creative energy of Cape Town's Long Street to a new level. Housed in a magnificent 1895 building in the hub of Cape Town, this four-star hotel pampers guests with luxurious attention and playful originality. Take the vintage elevator up to the rooftop to see the crown jewel: A penthouse trailer park with 7 vintage Airstream caravans, complete with US Postal Service mailboxes. Legendary Cape Town chef, Bruce Robertson, has teamed up with the exceptionally capable and impressively experienced, Simoné Rossouw to create a very yummy corner café right here at The Grand Daddy. Start with breakfast! The Showroom Café serves an excellent range – try a different one each day of your stay – and has a variety of ‘good mood food’ options for lunch and dinner. The daily marketplace is a tempting spread of buffet salads, hot bakes and curries and gorgeous home-baked breads – you can also go a la carte. Eavesdrop on Capetonians doing business over your morning coffee and papers, dine on fresh fish or a good cut of meat at dinner or indulge yourself with a night in and some room service.
