Superb

We were on the first floor and stepped out onto the ocean. There was a stunning sunset overlooking the ocean. We were able to see incoming and departing cruise ships both in the morning and at night. On a clear day, you can see St. Kitts and other islands in the distance. There is a grocery, bar, restaurant, car and cellphone rentals on grounds. The beach floor is the smoothest and the best I've ever been to. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The hotel location is near all, as the entire island is about a one hour drive total. There is a dive shop nearby and water sports. The condo itself is very roomy, with enough dresser space. The kitchenette is fabulous. The only negative, which the pluses far out-weighed this minus, was the strong mildewy /bleach smell of the room upon arrival. However, that lessened over the first night and we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Great place to stay with kids too.

Perfect Location for Family Vacation i

No other resort will put you 10 steps from the beach. This is a quiet, perfectly located hotel. Most guests are families. Rooms are older, but fully equipped. You can cook all your meals, go to the family friendly on site restaurant, or take advantage of the great restaurants on St. Martin. Most guests have been returning for years, if not decades.

Belair Beach Hotel

The hotel is an aging one. Hot water was not always available, brown water in the hot water faucet was always the case. In fact it stained my white bathing suit. The staff is friendly always. They are trying to update but there is no fitness equipment or room. A lot of old people as it is a timeshare with a lot of OLD timeshares. Hotel Caribbean supper is worth the price and it is near all kinds of neat tourist stuff. I still don't think it was worth the $2,000 for the week.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

If going to the French side to dine, look for the 1 euro equals 1 dollar ads. Well worth the investigation and a lot of restaurants will do it!

stay here

I just got back. the belair hotel is right on the beach. All you have to do is walk out of your room and you are on the beach. All rooms have 2 bedrooms, the master has a king bed and the other room has a full bed. The place is huge. The balcony is huge as well. All rooms face the ocean, so dont worry about getting a bad view. I stayed here many times and returned after 15 years. It is the most beautiful place. It still has the same furniture today as it did 15 years ago, but thats the charm. the tile floor has many chips in it, but i didnt mind The town is only 5 minutes away. You will love it here

you can buy groceries and keep in full size fridge in your room-it was nice to have toasted bagels and cream cheese on our patio overlooking the water in the morning.
