Mold city

An abundance of Mold can be found both in the bathrooms and coming through the paint. Also no hot water. Staff was inept, slow, and few in numbers. Would never stay there again.

Good Value

Interesting location next to the Changi Village beach park. A great walking trail there. Free shuttle bus from/to the airport that leaves every hour on the hour. There are two hotel restaurants (the Italian one was closed for business) the Japanese one had great sushi. There's also a nice bar area. No complaints at all.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Walking distance to food court (with "hawker stalls") that are open late. This is an authentic Singapore experience you ought not to miss even if you're only there overnight. You'll need Singapore currency, though.

Off the beaten path

The hotel was clean and quiet on weekdays, a bit loud in the halls on the weekend. Quite far from the city. Last bus or train is at about 11:30 PM. The maid service seemed to forget to check or replace coffee and soap. The roof top pool was nice and refreshing. The staff was very polite and helpful. If you are looking for quiet, this is your place; night clubbing, stay in the city! There is also a 24 hour small grocery store in the lobby! Easter weekend lunch in the hotel was $42 a person. Go to the food court down the street. Ferry terminal to an island park is across the street. $2.50 a person, April 2012.

Small hotel close to Changi Airport

I stay here mainly because i need to catch an early morning flight and the hotel is very close to the Changi airport and it provides complimentary airport shuttle at every hour interval. There are many local food outlets nearby to the hotel at short walking distances which is very convenient. The gym is very spacious and nice.

OK, but not best choice

This hotel is OK, I just think that there are better, more affordable options. The main thing is that I wanted to be able to walk to Metro, and can't do here. They do change money, though, so if I had known this before I left, would have been better experience.

Bad airport shuttle service

We stayed at the Changi Village overnight in between two flights. The hotel was ok, staff not friendly at all. But the drawback is their airport shuttle which runs once an hour. I called them ahead and they told me they were running way more often than once an hour. However, when we arrived we were told that the shuttle had just left. The woman at the hotel info booth was an angel, she called the driver and he waited for us to run down the street and catch him.On the way back to the airport, we paid a taxi as we did not want to wake up 1/2 hr earlier to catch the free shuttle. For a hotel close to the airport they sure do not provide a good service.

Do not eat at the hotel, just walk outside and turn right: plenty of excellent restaurants, open very late and fabulous food. We ate at Millie's, excellent crab and prawns, excellent friendly service.

Coming and Going

The staff were very good and the location close to the airport. The shuttle from the airport can be called in by phone or if you don't have a local SIM card for your cell phone the people at the information desk just outside of immigration will call for you. The return trip to the airport was a problem. I needed to get to the budget terminal and they only go to the main terminal. Add 20 minutes to your trip if you were like me. The rooms were clean but looked surprisingly worn. The internet connection in the room is ethernet not wifi. The charges for internet access were very steep so be prepared to go without.
