Coming and Going

The staff were very good and the location close to the airport. The shuttle from the airport can be called in by phone or if you don't have a local SIM card for your cell phone the people at the information desk just outside of immigration will call for you. The return trip to the airport was a problem. I needed to get to the budget terminal and they only go to the main terminal. Add 20 minutes to your trip if you were like me. The rooms were clean but looked surprisingly worn. The internet connection in the room is ethernet not wifi. The charges for internet access were very steep so be prepared to go without.

Bad airport shuttle service

We stayed at the Changi Village overnight in between two flights. The hotel was ok, staff not friendly at all. But the drawback is their airport shuttle which runs once an hour. I called them ahead and they told me they were running way more often than once an hour. However, when we arrived we were told that the shuttle had just left. The woman at the hotel info booth was an angel, she called the driver and he waited for us to run down the street and catch him.On the way back to the airport, we paid a taxi as we did not want to wake up 1/2 hr earlier to catch the free shuttle. For a hotel close to the airport they sure do not provide a good service.

Do not eat at the hotel, just walk outside and turn right: plenty of excellent restaurants, open very late and fabulous food. We ate at Millie's, excellent crab and prawns, excellent friendly service.

Free airport shuttle- rare in Singapore

We stayed at Changi Village Hotel after a 1 AM arrival in Singapore. Missed one shuttle, which only runs once an hour. Once you learn the system it's fine. After shopping around, we ended up at the Changi Village before our flight home. Took the shuttle for an extra visit to look around the airport during daylight hours. Others rode the shuttle back to the airport, then hopped the train back into the city for the evening. Our rooms were fine, modern, clean. Breakfast is not included, but we walked around the block and found plenty of choices (Singapore $ only).

By taxiing to the city during daylight hours we saved the 50% surcharge. Taxi rates were good and cabs had credit card capability. No tipping expected for cabs in S'pore!

Surprisingly good!

One of very few (perhaps the only) hotel with its own free shuttle from the airport (departs from Terminal 1 - check in at the red Information Desk). The travel time was probably fifteen minutes less, each way, than to the nearest downtown hotel. Rapid, courteous check-in; accurate wake-up call; very well appointed rooms (quite European in their design) and a unique location in a village setting with lots of restaurants and shops and only steps to the beach.

Great location, many reasons

Be aware, this is a diamond shaped building, ask for a room buy the elevator, or you will be walking far. The pool is great, for laps its long and uncrowded. The dinner buffet was decent, the hotel gives a 25% discount when checking in, It applies to your dinner or breakfast, The street just outside has a bunch of food concessions, including a subway, otherwise not much around. There are a couple of good bars, full of cute bar girls, thai and Philipinas. A nice place to have a beer and chill.

Time-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

This is fairly close to the airport, cheap, super nice. It has just enough out the front door to keep you from extra large food charges an isolated hotel will get you for, including a 7-11, food stalls and bars.

Nice Hotel

I arrived late and left early the next morning, so I did not have the time to venture through the hotel. The staff was nice though, and I will stay there again, when I return to SIN.
